  1. probably available on some other sites. http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/dealers.html#internet or buy used or buy refurb amps from db-r
  2. just give it rated power. +/- a few hundred watts in either direction will not be audible.
  3. what are the dimensions of the space? fitting a ported enclosure for a 15 in 3.5 cu ft gross would be tough. a 12 would probably work.
  4. novelty is probably the only reason to buy 8 inch drivers like the sa-8. should be a fun build.
  5. they're probably junk.
  6. small box, low end extension, efficiency you can only pick 2.
  7. 15" package http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-15-ultimax-subwoofer-and-cabinet-package--300-7097 12" package http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-12-ultimax-subwoofer-and-cabinet-package--300-7096
  8. model it and find out. what kind of vehicle is this going in? i would consider if you're worried about box size and low end extension then i think infinite baffle would be the way to go assuming you drive a sedan.
  9. Yeah I also thought of that and that's exactly where they are is mounted under the rear deck through the inside of the trunk. Could always just put something in rear door panels then. What would be a good mids and high build? Not wanting to spend an arm and a leg really but want a decent quality. skip the rear deck and rear door speakers all together. just get 1 set of components for the front. amp them and look into sound deadening. 1 set of decent speakers will always sound better than several sets of shitty speakers.
  10. are these your song's, open access, or are you selling someone else's work?
  11. stick to passives. hobbling together shitty drivers like those crescendo will never sound good.
  12. speakerboy, where you at?
  13. output wouldn't be much different either
  14. could probably save some money by going with a single 10 or 12. enclosure would probably be about the same size.
  15. blah blah blah, im still looking at these sexy graphs.
  16. http://www.bitpusher.in/?p=portarea
  17. Naive and ignorant statement to assume that's a significant metric. Plenty of people with really stupid ideas and questionable knowledge do well in competitions, both SPL and SQ.But just think of how much louder you could be if you actually understood science and testing....... That's always debatable; there's no replacement for trial and error. Knowledge always help, but plenty of "smart" people do terrible in competition. troll status achieved bro. well done.
  18. some crazy speed runs on twitch this week. they're raising >500k for a cancer charity. http://www.twitch.tv/speeddemosarchivesda
  19. lithium replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL-Lab USA
why worry about efficiency on a full range amplifier?
  20. nexus 10 can't do what the 7 can?
  21. isobaric would just cut the vas in half and he would take a hit to efficiency. still probably better off selling the subs and buy something else i would think. flipping a pair of ib3 should be pretty easy. might be worth modeling just the sake of demonstration...
  22. i dont know did you model it? why sealed? what do you mean by SQ? try modeling other subs, maybe some designed for the home environment. remember car audio takes advantage of cabin gain and other factors (so its probably best to ignore many of the recommended enclosure sizes), home audio is a different animal.
  23. i tried searching for some builds. only thing i found were some idiots with enclosures sitting on the rear seat. imagine that flying around your cabin in a wreck..
