  1. which one did you go with?
  2. headphone output on the tablet sounds fine to me. output voltage seems pretty strong as well.
  3. the battery life is pretty solid so I bet it would hold charge for several days maybe over a week. the ppi unit looks pretty good, i went the cheaper route with two 2x4 units. maybe you'll be able to do some external volume control with a rooted os. iirc sean found a way to do steering wheel controls which would include volume i would think... edit" mount idea http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/build-logs-project-install-gallery/157938-2013-wrx-nexus-7-install-no-hu.html

  7. another idea for a cheap laptop. http://stores.ebay.com/Gilco-4020 from what my friend told me this guy has a contract with the govt to sell off old hardware. most of the laptops will be missing the hdd but otherwise fine. core 2 duo is still a pretty strong cpu. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Latitude-E6400-Core-2-Duo-P8700-2-53GHz-4GB-RAM-INCOMPLETE-LAPTOP-/171194843023?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item27dc01ff8f pull the os and hdd off that one and you got a pretty decent laptop on the cheap. there are few stores under similar names. gilco 4040 4030 4050 etc.
