So, I have some money coming back, I tried to purchase an engine... used. Sent a Postal Money Order out 3 weeks ago. Talked with the gent here & there. Got a message from him today that he couldn't ship it for less then $700 because he spilled the beans that there was a used engine in the crate. Originally he was shippng it for ~$250. I told him to call up a different company and simply tell them that it was a stone sculpture -or- something. At this point he advised me that, in his panic he called every local shipping company and told them the same thing. It was actually crated in the driveway ready to go. The driver showed up on Monday to pick it up, cited lack of "paperwork & containment"... and here I am with an extra $50 in my pocket. Seller was good enough to refund me asap with a $50 apology. <shrug> I'll just have to suck it up and find the right head(s), and get this block bored.

fear, insecurity, anger, confusion.... that species works in strange ways. more to the point, think about the last time that You did something that was dumb in retrospect. It doesnt take much for a thought / insecurity to make things seems 1000x worse to a woman. Who knows what the reasoning was... I would think that the important thing is that she WANTS to make it work with You.

not that it is much consolation, but I went through a very similar time with a girlfriend about 6 years ago. we were young and kinda stupid. I was 18, she was 19. whatever. But we had a huuuuge fight and i ended up sleeping in my car for a week or so. we broke up, didnt see each other for a couple of years acutally. we're getting married June 9, of next year. We both did some growing & learning. We ended up together at a bar one night and talked for ~3 days. Realized how happy we can make each other and how much we loved each other. Been taking it one day at a time for 3+ years now. -Nick
