  1. Not really. Just because he doesn't plan on pushing the BL to its FULL potential doesn't mean that he will be unsatisfied with a little bit less...
  2. Is that a serious question? No, actually. You cant hear the new BTL's at all. I can hum louder than that P.O.S. woofer. ........................................ OF COURSE they are! It will probably be the loudest woofer you'll ever hear. What kind of question is that?
  3. Go the biggest you can basically. A Q18 is doable in a 4-8 cube sealed box. The larger the better, so take measurements. If you can't fit 4 cubes in your Celica then go with a Q15. 2.6 cubic feet isn't much at all....
  4. Dude man that sucks...
  5. Talk about immaturity. People like you are the reason why car audio is looked down upon. I'm sure it does, but have you played your sub in a sealed enclosure for comparison? Haha. It's too late now. We know what his motives are.
  6. Than you should point them here so we can help them fix their problems. I would if I was friends with them. They were underclassmen at my old high school who thought they were sweet with RF P1's. LOL I remember when one kid was like "hey check out my system." I walked over and he had a Kicker sub from......maybe..... 1995? The surround was like made of foam. And half of the surround was rotted and gone. So you couldn't really hear the bass, it was more like a flutter that you would hear from a lawnmower. I can't describe the sound in letters, but I'm sure you ALL have heard it at some time or another.
  7. I would go with a single 15 because you can make single setups very clean. Plus the fact that if you have some friends that are into car audio, chances are they went with two 12's at the local Best Buy. Not many people put 15's in their car. (Not gonna lie, I know 6 people with two 12's in their trunk. And every one of their systems sound like s...)
  8. Wow. You sure did a LOT of planning. Nice man. Its looking great. A vid or 2 might be cool if you think about it
  9. No one said you had to go with a BL...

    You can add another 4
  11. What do you mean he went too deep?
  12. The $100 ones are probably really attractive with heat dissipating, flexible, and colorful cables with gold plated ends. You can probably expect less signal noise from those kind of cables. But depending on your setup, the $25 will probably do just fine.

Your best bet would be to just go the easy route first. Build a large sealed enclosure and see how that sounds. Then when thats all said and done take your time and build a low ported box. Install the woofer in the new box and see if that fits your needs better.
  14. Umm... maybe you should re-read what Jim said. He didn't say that the BP Power option would make it sound any different. What he said is that the only reason you would get the BP Power is to increase the power handling of the sub, resulting in a louder subwoofer. But the Q will get more than loud enough with a lot less that its rated power. Meaning that if you actually want to hear the music, you probably won't bring the subwoofer to its maximum level. Meaning he doesn't need the BP Power option...
  15. http://incriminatoraudio.com/update/index....age=3&cat=2 Wow. I don't know how I missed that. Thanks though
  16. It would be sweet to have a HT sub as a 21 inch. But there are no recommendations for enclosures. Would anyone have any idea how big of a sealed box this 21" would need?
  17. To be stylish, you can pick the one that matches your interior. But they will all work. Just look at the measurements and be sure it will fit the way you want. x2

Wow. I bet you almost $hit your pants when that became official. I know I would. But past the point.... I would for sure buy an Fi zip hoodie. And I promise if they make an Fi keychain lanyard, I will be the first to buy.
  19. Ha I don't know about faster or easier. Especially because he probably has never built a box before. But for a more controlled setup and the pride of doing it yourself, you should build it yourself.

I am on the verge of building a HT box and I'm going sealed
  21. I hope you already have/planned your electrical to support such wattage.
  22. What's weird is that he has 100% feedback from over 5000 feedback comments... Douche bag... I hope he gets his $hit blown in someday from an angry buyer in his area...

Nice man. Let us know how everything goes.
  24. Both the SX and the BL are very good woofers. But if you want to look at the whole package, like customer service and ease of a helpful staff, then go with Fi. Not everyone gets to speak with the owner of a company of which they purchased an item from.
  25. Not gonna lie I tried to read this 3 times and still don't understand why you put half the stuff you did.
