  1. Congrats on the job! I know you've been jobless for months...I know the feeling, it does feel great to start working again. Makes you feel more important (at least for me lol). Good luck on your new job Matt

  8. The gator. You can finally run a multi sub setup (2+). That's what I would do.
  9. Count me in, as well as Jacob, and Oscarch. We were all there for the original meet up (Orange Infiniti, volvo - now tahoe, and plymouth van). They don't get on anymore, so I will pass the word along. We will be there, weather permitting.
  10. Looks good enough for me, impressive. Now I want to hear it.
  11. Like the car, always liked that model. Looks like you are a great woodworker. Keep it up.
  12. Don't have videos yet but this thing gets pretty damn loud and LOW! There is a notable difference that I can tell going from a ported enclosure to a 4th order. 1. Narrow passband (I guess thats what its called). Can Only play frequencies from like 28hz to ~50hz. Above 50, it looses output a LOT. 2. Bass is not precise (ie like a kick drum on a sealed or even a ported box). 3. Bass sounds very deep, engulfs the whole car with it, highs can keep up but on some songs the bass is just too overwhelming (thank you decaf). 4. Hardly any rattle from the trunk. I can open my trunk and not loose any output in the cabin. 5. A 4th order is perfect for rap music (which has a lot of low freq. material), but when it comes to rock/alternative, output isnt so great. Thats where an epicenter comes in lol. 6. Bottom line: If you want low and deep bass, and dont care about a narrow frequency range, definatley consider a 4th order. It is (at least from my experience) louder then a ported box. Overall I am satisfied with the output. The closest I can compare this system to was my 2 12 fi bls ported on a gp3kpro. Only difference is the 4th order gets lower but the bls get a lil bit louder ~1db is my guess. The TC shakes my steering wheel on songs with 30-35hz. I just cant believe the output for such a lightweight system, which was my goal, and I think I achieved it. Next move, rb25det!
  13. Thanks for all the comments! I sure hope it is loud, we'll see tomorrow, i'll try and get some vids for my ssa brothas!
  14. Now all I need is to line em up. There it is wow Carpeted the box with carpet from PE Creating the amp rack with the jig. 18. Whats up yall. Started the box about 2 days ago, still need about another 2 days to finish everything. Its been raining but it'll be gone by tomorrow. This is my first 4th order enclosure, although I have built countless sealed and ported boxes. I am trying to keep this system lightweight, while still being somewhat loud. I had 2 Fi btls before but it was just too much weight for my car. 4th order is 1 cu.ft for the sealed chamber and 1.8 cu.ft for the vented chamber after sub and port displacement. It is tuned to ~43hz. 2 4" aeros. It is ported into the cabin via the rear seat armrest. Wat? 21. Here Giuliano Stroe has six-pack abs before turning six years old. And he's also in the Guinness Book of World Records before he can probably even read it. Though it's highly unusual for a child to start weight training at such a young age, the pre-schooler entered the record books earlier this year after completing the fastest ever 10-meter walk with a weight ball between the legs, which is both both highly impressive and highly specific. Since then, a four-minute video of Stroe has hit the Internet and made him a viral sensation. It looks like a training montage from a Rocky movie, minus the Survivor soundtrack. (And, interestingly, Guiliano Stroe is almost the same size as Slyvester Stallone.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PndJi2Sia2w&feature=player_embedded The highlights: 0:32 -- The "Crouching Tiger" wall flip. 0:41 -- Backflips on the kitchen table. Even Richard Heene thinks that's questionable parenting. 1:43 -- Doing barbell curls with toddlers dancing to 50 Cent in the background. 3:19 -- More flipping, this time from a high bar. 3:39 -- My arms hurt from just watching that. The pre-schooler's gymnastic skills are every bit as impressive as his weightlighting prowess. Both sports are national obsessions in Romania, so Stroe should have plenty of options when he becomes a teenager ... in 2017.
  22. Sorry brotha! Looks like it aint happenin this weekend. Dont know where to go or meet up. Not enough input.... I am sure we will give it another go here soon. Dont go dying on me!
  23. Well it looks like our problem is finding a location. I really don't go outside of Austin much so I don't know shit about good peaceful bass locations out of Austin. I am down for any city, town, club, strip joint, ski resort, lake..... hmm a bbq would be nice... either way if anyone has an actual location (street names) where we can possibly bass in peace... POST!! Time flies and the 24th will come by quick.
  24. Wouldve got 26's and used the extra money saved towards a loud ass system. Looks sick though.
