  1. They are actual bolts that thread into the battery. In those pictures, what looks like a traditional terminal is actually the head of the bolt. They are about an inch long, maybe a little bigger. I believe it's a 1/2" head on the d3100
  2. Powermaster batteries use bolts for the terminals
  3. That's what I thought. I'll just stick with the one 1500. Thanks for the help, looks like I'll be doing an IB blowthrough.
  4. I was thinking about a wall but I think an infinite baffle will work much better. Should I just run the one 1500 at .5 ohms or a 1500 on each driver?
  5. The cabin won't be exposed, what I'm trying to say is how could I go about doing a true IB setup, not a trunk IB type thing, without having the drivers exposed? I'm thinking that I need to get a normal bed cover and seal up all the gaps in the bed. Got any other ideas? What makes you say that? I almost never use my bed because it's so small, and I have a trailer that I use when I need it. It won't really take up any space in the cab either. Plus, I'm never going to sell it so I dont have worry about resale. I was thinking about something like that, but it seems like it would restrict the airflow a good amount. I'm thinking the bed cover idea might work best. Opinions?
  6. Beat me to it. That's what I've been thinking of doing, but I'm having trouble thinking of a way to protect the drivers from the elements.
  7. What do you think about an IB setup? If I go the sealed route, should I use a larger box with one SAZ-1500 or a smaller box with two strapped? How much power do they need to run IB?
  8. I'm looking for all out SQ, with a decent level of subbass output. I really just wanted to do some type of quarter wavelength design, both to have something different, and to see if I can do it. Feel free to give me some suggestions, I'm open to any ideas, as difficult and inconvenient as they may be. All I want is a great sounding substage with a couple of 18" Q's. Output level really means nothing, as long as there are gains in SQ. That 30 cubes is below the window line. I'll see what I have to work with if I were to wall it off. EDIT: 44 cubes with a normal wall and a cut through, 48 with a wedge wall, and if it comes down to it, 71 cubes if I do a full cut through and put a tonneau cover on my bed.
  9. I have around 30 cubes to play around with. I can make more room than that without massive modifications. If it comes down to it I can double that space.
  10. One can only dream. How about a couple 15's or 12's? Hell, I'll extend my truck bed if I need to. Or even cut out the entire rear glass, and double the height of the box if I have to
  11. Would it be possible to make a transmission line box for 2 18 Q's in an area that's 16" tall x 39" wide x 70" long with an additional area of 22" tall x 52" wide x 10" deep OD? Like this: Would having the subs mounted off center make it not work?
  12. I mean they don't look pretty but they work. I haven't tested all of them but my teacher said they all worked. He's been working there for 25 years and he got them closer to then he started teaching so they aren't new either. Do you know what kind of leads I would need to use? I don't know what all these damn ratings are on them.
  13. Wilmington. Would this work alright? Could I find anything cheaper?
  14. I just came across 4 B&K Precision 1524 oscilloscopes. They are an older version of this. They are in working condition, and aren't in bad shape. The only thing is they don't have any leads. Anyone know where I can get a hold of some for cheap? If anyone wants one send me a PM and I'll let you know where you can pick them up. I'm not asking for anything for them, but I will say I need some 1/0 gauge wire to do the big 3 on my truck if anyone has some extra laying around.

You say stock cone. Is there any difference in the cone with the BP power option, or are there any other options for higher power handling?

Anyone? General idea on an 18" recone and basket with shipping?
  17. I was thinking about getting a couple Morel home tweeters, but all of them are 8 ohm. Do you think it would keep up with the lower and mid range on 60 watts? I'm running 2 Q 12's in a sealed box off a Sundown 1500D and PG Ti6 midrange
  18. What kind of power does the 100.4 make per channel at 8 ohms?

    What's the price on an 18" recone for a Q 12?
  21. Computer salesman at Best Buy, lawn maintenance and general handyman during the summer, and student in my last month of high school.
  22. I got it working, and it sounds amazing. I didn't know coaxials could sound this good. Anyone know where I can get a dash kit and a trim ring for a Ford Ranger?
  23. Yes it's orange. Thanks for the help.
  24. I'm not just using it as a dash filler, I just want to be able to have more EQ control. I'm going to have a 2 way active setup with a couple Fi Q's and I just want to be able to get the most out of them.
  25. I mean I know what they stand for, but I don't know what to connect them to.
