Bought my 1st subs today, but now im second guessing myself. I bought 2 kicker L7 12s and a rockford fosgate prime 1200 all new for 730$. My friend has a L7 12, it gets loud for what it is but his is in a prefab ported box and sounds like ass. Given a good enclosure do you guys think it would be possible to get them sounding good?

Today I purchased 2 kicker L7 12s and a rockford fosgate prime 1200. Can someone help me with a design for my 1998 s10 extended cab, my max dimensions are 46" wide, 22" tall, and 13.5" deep would like it tuned @ 33 Hz. Any help is appreciated

Yes.And now that I am not in a hot tub typing on my phone, lol. My washer overflowed upstairs, water ran downstairs. Sub was facing up in a box. Water collected on the cone and sat in the sub for a couple days as I was out of town and my wife didn't see it. Discoloration on the center of the cone with no functionality troubles. Comedy of errors, but it is otherwise fine and mechanically perfect. Could you pm me a pic, and price? Anybody else have any subs for sale also?

Any speaker is going to blow if you don't change your idea of reference. Perhaps there is an octave missing in you FR, causing you to keeP trying to turn it up to gain that octave that is muted. Just sayin.I only understood part of that can break it down? Im not to car audio smart yet

But 4x6 is factory in my dash, what else could i do?

Damn, Ive been wanting to put some subs in my s10 for so looong, now one of my 4x6 speakers in the dash took a shit on me, because I always have my music blasted, got a little US amp powering my dash and door speakers, not sure if i should replace the 4x6 with kicker which is what are currently installed, or try something else out, they do get kinda loud, but i think i want something louder. On another note by chance does anyone have any 12" or 15" subs laying around in good condition that there not using and would consider selling?

Hey J, i tried turning the key on and off without starting it and leaving the key on the third and fifth time, the dash lights did nothing like you said man...maybe theres another way?
