  1. your welcome, i found that first site a little while ago. i posted a thread about it somewhere one here. its probably lost now though.hah
  2. http://www.ronelmm.com/tones/ that sight has a good selection of tones adn compilations http://www.linearteam.dk/ or here. you can download winisd. its a box design program and it has a signal generator that you can play tones. and fast and slow sweeps, the lowest it goes is 10hz though or look around for a song called Resonance Test by bass mekanik, its on their v5.0 album
  3. I thought of that a little bit after i posted, thats to long to be without an amp, i was gonna get another 3000 to strap to mine when my other sub gets here, but since these are coming out i might get two of these..
  4. will you do trade-ins with a 3000d?
  5. i have two extra batts, but i took them out along with my big system until a suspension upgrade. but i have been thinkin along those lines but when i turn my system up the voltage stays at 12.5, but somethin like turnin on a blinker makes it goes back up. as for voltage blow 12, i didnt mean when the car is off, if a car is on with no charging system the voltage will be under 12
  6. and they would be wired in parallel?
  7. where? i did a search and couldnt find any except some $50 ones that didnt look like they were for cars
  8. O_O so you dont know either huh? but its a serious question though, ive never had to do it so idk if thats how its done
  9. noob question on fusing. i assume it need a 350 amp fuse, but all i ever see is up to 300, can you stack a 150 amp on top of a 200 amp fuse? do fuses work like that in parallel?
  10. man... i was gonna be get another 3000d for a project this summer... i guess im gonna have to get in on that trade-in program.
  11. i think thats the first think ill try, There is an alt shop around here and i talked to them before i got my h/o alt, and once i got it i showed them, and they told me the pulley is way to small. i took it up there again yesterday and he said that small pulley could be makin it slip too. but im goin to just change the belt first Does anyone elses h/o alts have a small pulley, smaller than stock pic compared to stock
  12. ive got a box for a 15 tuned to 22hz and a box for 4 8's tuned at 30. and im like you, i think they are great. music doesnt go that low alot, but when it does it feels great. i have a big collection of chopped and screwed songs that i love to play. Im also thinking of gettin a music editor to slow down lots of songs.
  13. he messaged me saying I'm not loud. and his will blow mine away. And he peaks out his 136 DBMETER he told me he was hittin 140... he must have forgot wat he was makin up..hah
  14. its gettin even better now.. read the message he just sent me: "Such little cone area really, cone area of subs are 24" in total, cone area of 3-ways is 32" such little cone area hay, if I spent what you spent on your system I would blow you away like a leaf lmao." i had another guy once tell me 2 8's are better than a 15 because having 2 8's is like havin 1 16.
  15. i bet only the tweeters in it are workin now, but he told me they help cushion his lows...??
  16. ok here is a vid from youtube. after i commented, he messaged me sayin he knew everythin about building boxes and mine suck because they look good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w5W3mFziIU
  17. its the voltage that comes out through the RCAs and goes to your amps. the higher your pre amp voltage, the less you have to turn your gain up. an advantage is with gettin to leave the gain lower, there is less noise amplification too. like engine whine.
  18. there was a guy that used to work with me. he one of the kids that make up a new story about how somethin happened to him everyday. hes got a dual ported box with one kicker cvr and one memphis pr. and thinks hes the best thing ever... one day i was talkin to him about my system and he told me he had a cousin who had a box with lights on it that went with the music, he had 2 sony explodes. he told me." man that thing did atleast 400db". that one of the time you just turn around and laugh he also said his gf had a camaro that would hit 110mph in second gear.
  19. drove to work after i posted, and hitting the brakes doesnt make the voltage go back up anymore, and to clarify how i said change gears makes it go up..its automatic, and when i switch it to nuetral when im driving it goes back up to 14.5 and usually when i park it goes back up to. the car is a 95, as far as i know the belt is as old as the car. Exiter wire? and the alt. its one of the 200 amp iraggi amputators from ebay
  20. I installed a stinger voltage display in my car about a week ago. Since then ive noticed that ill be driving around and all the sudden the voltage will drop from 14.4 to 12.5~4. But if i change anythin power consumpiton in car, (i.e. rolling down windows, blinker, turning my lights on, a/c on. and also when i hit the brakes or change gears) the voltage goes back up to 14.5 for a few seconds and sometimes goes back down to 12.5 and other times it will stay back up at 14.5 I thought it might be my connections, so i hooked two DMM in my car. One run to my battery pos and neg, and the other run to my alternator + post to my battery neg. Once i was driving around again and noticed the voltage drop i turned on both DDMs and both their voltages read 12.5. so from that i concluded it isnt my alternator + connection, or my battery + connection. I also dont think the alt has completely stopped producing power when my voltage drops to 12.5, because my voltage should be under 12 with the car running with no alt. anyone have any other ideas?
  21. oh. do you know any good brands and where I could find some
  22. i dont have room for the tank
  23. Ive run a very heavy system in my trunk for a while, and it dropped my rear suspension, and raised my front, ruining my acceleration and handling, this summer i plan on doublin the weight of the system. But before i do so, i need a suspension upgrade. at first i looked at an air ride, but i dont have room for the tank. so ive decided on a coilover suspension. The problem is, i have no idea what is a good brand, where to buy, what specs are good or bad. Im also not tryin to spend a ton of money. a quick search on yahoo gave prices from 800 to 1200++++. Id really like an affordable one just to help with weight. My car is a 95 accord, approx wieght of new system.....425lbs+-50...plus about 2.5 dynamat extreme trunk kits
  24. i had a hifonics 4 channel that started doin that, first it was just one channel. and if i turned the h/u all the way up the channel kicked back on, then eventually the whole amp would stay in protect mode. i checked all the connections switched out all the speakers to see if it worked, but it still went into protect, i opened up the amp but couldnt see anythin real noticable. i ended up scrappin the amp.
  25. if your that close to the back now i dont think there is enough room to go back further. but i cant remember if the rule is to keep the distance from the back to port the same as the diameter or half the diameter
