  2. i have a 18'' btl and a sundown at .5 and this year i hit a 149.2 in a tahoe, but i also have a stock alt and two yellows and a red under the hood.. these sundown amps are awesome dropping below 1 ohm. i have mine running at 1 ohm on a single dd 9515d and it gets pretty loud.

i got it remetered and found out i hit a 149.0 flat, but i ran out of power before the amp ran out of juice. so i am going to install a audio force 1100 and give it more juice.
  7. plus unless you have the power to run any of those amps you listed, i wouldnt even try for somthing that high. the sundown is a very reliable, user friendly amp. look for posts about what people have to done those amps that you listed on stock alts, i bet you find a bunch of FS threads on burnt up amps cuz they tried. learn from there mistake.
  8. mine will probably go to 2 ohms once i go get metered again. and plus i am kinda looking for a reason to get new amps, i wanna try the ia 20's.
  9. it was a kinda do it at the risk of more than likly watching 800 dollars in smoke someday. i hardly play full tilt for more than a minute or so.
  10. not even worth running at .5, especially if you are worried about your amp. i look at it like,"do i want to fry 800 bucks?". sure i'd do it at a comp, burp that bish. ya 4 dekas u'd be fine. i run mine around .35 with two runs of 1/0 and a couple batts w/ a stock 140 alt.

bump for a video. found out that the sub facing the glass (box standing up) with aero's to the side is noticably louder to the eatr. i will get it re metered saterday and found out. i tried to get a video of the sub moving but it was too dark. not much flex but i thought i'd throw it out there.

Ya ya, my wiring is kinda messy right now but it might not be permant. and yes i know i shouldnt brag about "novice" trophy but it was my first time, and i still hit a 144.3 off two type R's with no tuning jus playin with it. on my btl i hit a 147.30. The guy that got first hit a 147.33 with 4 Type R 15''s. FYI GORRILA DUCK TAPE FTW!!!! at the show still filling the aero leaks on the aero's SAZ 3K btl 18 fully loaded 4.5 cu ft tuned to ....???? didnt have time to correct the aeros.
  17. Very nice score. i jus hit a 147.30 on a single btl and a saz 3k on offical TL. did you ever do it on some music to find out what you hit'n not burping?
  18. Well jus for the records, the box hit a 147.30 on a offical TL, and it was side loading on the driver side.
  19. ya but with aeros is it any different?
  20. 01 tahoe, srry
  21. which way should i do my box design for a btl 18'' with two 6 in aero ports. sub up, aero back?
  22. Both 12V batteries. but is mixing them going to cause a conflict at all?
  23. thank you sir for you advice.
  24. net volume of my daily box is 10.8 cu. ft. (inside) wow thats a huge box for a mazda 6. i ordered my aero's lastnight hopefully all is well and i will get them tuesday. 2.9 cu ft with 2 6in aero? man that seems so small...
