Okay i was using power acoustik's 5500 1/D amps, just got the one i blew back from the factory (brand new). So i'm selling both and hopefully buying a sundown. i had my heart set on the SAZ-2000D but while at work i was thinking... why not get the SAZ-3000D? i will purchase 2 of either model for 4 SSA ICON 15's D1's Should i get the 3000D or the 2000D? i know the 3000D is going away. the price is only about $100 differance on db-r.

hmm.. turns out its not as bad as i thought. its the foam. and i cant really get it to show on my phone camera.

after doing a "uninstall" i ended up scuffing the surround on the subs. one is pretty bad (atleast i think). what can i do to fix this? just silicon it? it did not punture the sub its just looks bad.

haha something i know a little about finally. i had 2 of the BAMF 5500's in my magnum running 1 on a pair icon 15's (2 amps 4 subs). anyways these amps are total crap. after a while of "bumping" the amp would just go into protect REALLY fast. so after a while i decided to "tune it down" and then i just ended up turning the subs off on the deck. driving down the free way the subs ended up making the popping noise and pushing the subs way beyond a safe excursion. anyways i just sent the amp back to power acoustiks. so in another words. i'm getting a sundown

they are dual ones.

first of all, do you have dual 1 ohm woofers or dual 2 ohm woofers....depending on your voice coils you could run a single 3500d, or two 2000d's. My idea for you would be to sell your amps and purchase one 2000d which will probably work better than both of the amps you have currently, then save up for electrical upgrades and a second 2000d as the woofers you have can handle the power. You know thats a good idea. The subs are Dual 1 Ohms. my current "electrical" upgrade consists of 3 batteries. a carquest starter, and 2 blue tops optima. upgraded the stock battery ground. and thats it. but will the 1 2000d be sufficent enough for all 4 15's?

hmm... maybe i should just save up. i did have each sub wired 2 ohm and the whole 1 ohm at amp thing... which i still dont fully understand. but i've noticed that non of the amps i'm looking at are bridgeable. so i'll wait untill i sell these power acoustiks on craigslist to see how much i save so i can get a sundown. now with the sundown i just need 1 2000d? or 2 2000d's? i guess if it means waiting a couple more months or so its worth it.

hmm. i wouldnt mind giving the Audiopipe AP3000 a try. where did you buy you amp at? i'm looking for a online store seeing as according to there site no vegas dealers are avaliable. also seeing as i have 4 subs i think it would be only natural to purchase 2 of these... correct? i've always dreamed of owning some sundowns yet i've yet to come up with the cash to buy them. seeing as its 4 subs and i want to push them at the rms or just a little above i think i would need something insane like the 4500 and that cost a pretty penny. as for the electrical when i was running the 2 BAMF power acoustics i have 2 blue tops in the back with the stock battery. hopefully next year i'll upgrade the alt. the BAMF's were okay but did not do justice for the awesome subs.

Hello i recently purchased 2 of the power acoustics 55001d amps to power 4 SSAicon 15's. turns out the amps are complete garbage and i wish i never got them. anyways i'm sending one back to either get store credit or sell both on craigslist to purchase one of the 2 models of hifonics ( heard they are better then they used to be) and for the price i cant beat it. 1 amps per 2 subs. so my question is the subs are approx 1000w rms and the BXi 2010d should be baseline for the subs. but is it worth the extra $120 per amp worth it for the extra 600w (BXi 2610d)? also if anybody has firsthand experiance with these amps your feedback is greatful.

if i'm correct the better the RCA the better luck you have with not getting road noise right? so i know the best brands are monster, kicker, and RF. do you think kicker 09z series are worth the extra few dollars or should you just go with the cheap scorche RCA's?

for the H/O alt. Iraggi Ebay Store i do not know much about that except that Steve Meade Designs used them in there TK15KW caddy once i get some loot i'm getting me one.

okay so heres the deal. i have 2 ssa icons, thinking (going to buy) adding 2... more so here: 4 SSA icons 12's i need amps to power them. i'm looking at spending $750 (about) for amps (would love to only run 2) was thinking about hifonics brutus but after reading some posts they seem like garbage. what amps? another question would be nice to be answer is: how would you go upon hooking up 2 subs to a single monoblock? is it as simple as twisting wires togeather or is it no advised to do such thing.

i just picked up the pioneer DEH-P510UB and i'm blown away with how it is. for 260$ i was double thinking it but it turned out to be a good unit.

Hello, i've installed my new(er) system the other day currently i have Optima Yellow top 2 SSA icons 12 2 Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w 2 channel (each sub with their own bridged) 1 Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w 4 channel 2 Kicker DS460 4x6 1 Pioneer DEH-P510UB Will be adding getting 2 Kicker 08KS6930 6x9 1 SoundStorm SX310 crossover if i'm not mistaken the crossover will prevent my mids and highs from "popping" and put a cleaner sound though, right? also is a sound processor needed? i have a decent amount of "road noise" coming though, just enough to bother me. will the processor fix all that? or will the crossover fix it?

looking to put two more subs in my auto. currently i'm running each sub to a Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w. i'm looking to only be running 2 subs total on all 4 subs.... what do you recommend?

now i've heard that tweeters are very tempermental. i've heard stories of them conestantly blowing due to WAY to much power.... now upon thinking you could just hook up a crossover and restrict the power? right? also with the current engineering of the 6.5's and 6x9's is it even worth it to put in 2 or even 4 tweeters? (two in the front pillars, two by backseat passangers head). also the V-MAX cerwin vega seem like a good deal for about 50$ you get the 2 tweets and a crossover or in that case is it better to go with a higher end tweet system (if one is needed at all) and spend the extra 40$ per pair? my current system (after getting some things) 2 alpine type S 6x9's in the back, 2 6.5 alpine type S in the driver and passanger door, 2 pheonix gold ryval 1000w powering the 2 SSA icon 12's. and for the mid and high powering the pheonix gold ryval 1000w 4 channel amp. (OH YEAH also with the tweets if i end up getting them... depends on you.... i could just use the deck to power them instead of running them with the 6x9's or the 6.5's right?)
