Simple math is all you need, to calculate volume you multiply (L x W x H) and multiply that by 1728. Use this site to calculate the port dimensions.

Another thing, if you in search of big numbers form single subs, you need to be worrying much less on the woofer used and spend all your time working on the installation itself. The equipment used only accounts for 10% of a system.

Good luck. The SA-8" is the only one different, it has a smaller voice coil and motor. The 10-15's are the same except for cone size, they will move more air and be more loud for that reason. Again, good luck getting 150+ from a single sub and 1200 watts.

Oh man, I still come across old posts from JimJ... #1 reason why SSA will never again sponsor competitors, especially SQ competitors. What'd his friend do? Blow your SQ oriented woofers in an SPL competition on 10 times their rated power and want to warranty them? So he hates you as well as his friend?

We suggested seal the trunk off so you can get enclosure volume as much as possible, because it increases efficiency. Since you don't want to, build something that fits and allows for air and sound waves to pass through into the cabin, as big as possible.
Build so you can change it, you will need to because it takes a lot of testing to get loud.
If you don't want to seal it the trunk, there are more options. Try sub back port to the side, as well as sub up port forward CRX style.
