Never factor in impedance rise for a daily system anyways. Impedance fluctuates a lot as many factors change.

If your in for SPL you chose the wrong woofer, the MX was not made for it. You can do both, putting resin inside the enclosure will decrease air resistance and seal the enclosure, polyfill will make the woofer "think" it's in a larger enclosure than it's in, it will play a bit deeper than it normally would.
It'll be hard to bottom out an MX...

Not carpet, polyfill. Polyfill and fiberglass do two completely different things to the enclosure, what is your goal?
