That is a horrible recommendation. Your thinking about this completely wrong. Please read. I didn't make a recomendation... I was not recommending the Q over the Kicker comp, I stated that from my experience it was louder and that I think the deeper bass feels more powerful. Obviously comparing a kicker comp to a Fi Q would not be apples to apples. The BL is more than capable of generating the same "deeper bass" that the Q is.

This is a good one that Brian uses. Because it helps you design the enclosure around the driver like it's supposed to be, not the other way around.

NEVER look at just Xmax and rated power handling when buying a driver. The Q is for SOUND QUALITY only, that is not what you want it for.

You know I still go into the technical section, and advanced section and re read, you always have to search and brush up on knowledge. No one person knows everything about this hobby.

Interesting way to try to get lower tuning, it will probably cause more turbulence than good though.
