  1. Is it possible to get another enclosure?
  2. It's not cone size or the amplifier(unless the subsonic filter is preventing low frequency extension) that prevents the subwoofer from playing certain frequencies. The enclosure determines low frequency extension. If you want low frequencies tune ~30Hz. There are many people that can help you with an enclosure plan, myself included but I have several to design already, two companies have forums on here. BJ Fisher at www.fishercustoms.com and Trevor Komat at www.poundthatsound.com both design and make EXCELLENT enclosures.
  3. how do i make them 100% effcient ? Also should i unscrew the subs to the box and check for burn marks ? or am i just asking for to much from two 12"s in a small sealed box. You cannon make them 100% efficient. If you want them more efficient port them, you will gain quite a bit of volume and it seems like that's what your after. Also, set your gains correctly, use this: How To: Set your Amplifier Gain - SSA Car Audio Forum
  4. You won't be able to do a hairtrick with that setup. If you want hairtricks get the most cone area that can fit in your truck and a sealed enclosure.

It sounds like you should obey the law. no, it sounds like i need to slow the hell down, lol That's included in obeying the law...
  6. You have power going through thin copper wire, there is resistance and that means they are not 100% efficient, that lost power is given off as heat. Be careful, you were reaching their thermal limits. in a sealed enclosure there is no air transfer so your coils burned more than you think. Don't play at that volume for such a long time or the next topic you make will say "My subs caught fire today "

  12. Like me When I said I cant speak on there products I was talking about Audioque's, guess I should of clarified that one. I use Sundown, only one amp from my signature for now that is installed. Sorry I thought you were talking about Sundown. Boo AQ
  13. RE went in the shitter when US Amps bought them.
  14. what do you mean by that? There is nothing special about them, they will create sound. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, not even for a paperweight.
  15. AudioQue... Eh
  16. Jake is correct, all dB-r amplifiers carry a one year warranty.

Aaron don't turn off negative votes, we'll be a damn hippie forum where nothing bad can be said even if people are spreading misinformation.
  18. 25% coverage is maximum recommended for dampening mat, on top of that use a mass-loaded barrier. Don, who owns this company: http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi is extremely intelligent when it comes to deadening. Ask him anything about his products or how to solve a problem you can't figure out, he'll be glad to help.
  19. you can hate my honda all you want it makes no difference i know what i need at the track. i would not be getting the same wing althought it does mount to the same location. basically all i want to know is has anyone broke any carbon fiber peices with bass or the result of bass flex? You're going to run into the same problem. You didn't break the actual spoiler you broke the spoiler mount. Changing the material the spoiler is made of will NOT be beneficial. Carbon fiber is EXTREMELY strong, you probably wouldn;t break a normal fiberglass spoiler either though. Rethink this whole situation and attack where you actually have a problem. Reinforce the spoiler mount and you won't have a problem.
  20. Jacob just send me one for being your best customer I'll pay shipping!
  21. It's asking if the basket is still in tact, if it's asking about stacks your filling out the BTL recone form by the way.
  22. The problems appears when getting the enclosure in the trunk, 7 cubes will not fit in the trunk opening. A 15" in an optimal enclosure will outperform an 18" in a too-small enclosure. 8" subwoofers hade the same frequency response as 18" subwoofers. The only difference is output, because larger drivers have more cone area.
