Probably because properly fried food absorbs very little oil. The extra moistness you're referring to is due to the fact that deep frying allows you to cook a turkey in half the time it takes to bake. Faster cooking time equals less moisture loss which in turns equals juicier meat. It's the same reason all the top tier steakhouses use 1200F+ infrared broilers. That's why I rock infrared, no 1200F but much more than your typical gas burner.

The impedance is normally written on the top plate in Sharpie, if it is a D2 impedance it is also a universal motor, if D1 is written it is most likely not universal, and forever a D1.

Mechanical power handling goes down in large enclosures, efficiency goes up. Remember, you have a gain knob for reason, 50% gain on a 1000 watt amp does not mean 500 watts power output.

Depends on where the coil is from, for a D1 it varies from 0.7 to 1.0 ohms.

'Hot' is also subjective...what is hot to you may not be hot to me. If you really want to be accurate, measure the temperature of the voice coil, if it's getting close to the maximum operating parameters you need to change something in your system, I believe the epoxy on most coils melts around 500 degrees F.
