Solder alone isn't a good conductor, you need to crimp in first, then if you think it needs it you can solder it.

There shouldn't even be a bass boost on the amp itself, all you need is gain and crossover settings. Bass boost is the easiest way to clip your equipment. If you know how to set up your equipment then by all means use the bass boost, just remember that most bass boost is centered at 45 Hz. which is close to where most people set their lo-pass filters so they normally bypass the bass boost.

Okay take that little remote and the wire, put them in the package it came in and hide it. That's the best thing you can do

Crimp it, then solder. Oh and you should try a torch, a soldering gun can't heat up the whole terminal.

10's wont cut it. I had them, ditched them for 12's about 4 or 5 years ago. I used to run 15's exclusively, so it's already a tough sell with measly 12's, lol I can add a LITTLE more air space... but not much. If you've ever seen the trunk of a GTO, you'll understand. Why didn't your 10's work? What were they? What was their enclosure? What was the amp? Same model as my current 12's, in boxes about the same size, and the amp was my 10.0 They just didn't hit as low or loud as I wanted. That's because your using new Eclipse stuff, Fi is a whole other league. The motor and coil are EXACTLY the same on sizes 10"-18", the only thing that changes is the cone and suspension. Larger subs getting "lower" is a misconception, it really depends on the enclosure. 8's play the same notes as 18's, the only difference is volume.

Coil wobble from having 4 times the recommended port area would cause the coil to unwind, and sending it more power than is recommended would burn it.

You don't really need new subs, it sounds like the enclosure is the problem. You can throw a great sub in a bad enclosure and you get bad results. Where a "bad" sub in a great enclosure can work wonders

The box isn't too big you just need more port. Oh and I would get new woofers as well X2 more port and new woofers..comon don't be mean to the guy i bet he paid a nice penny for those 3 12inch subs. but if you can return them and get something different go for it! I would, considering they run $529 a piece. i think you should keep it all Sundown, look up the Nightshade

Well you don't have enough port area that's for sure. I got 10.36 cubic feet tuned to 29.5 HZ. with less than half the needed port area

Which of those is length? What did they say it was tuned to?

It doesn't sound like the amps to me, Jacob did a great job with those amps, they are underrated and really put out about 1500 watts. What are the specs on the enclosure?
