Jl 1000.1 amp
That is actually incorrect. Regulated power supplies routinely double rated power for every halve in impedence. What regulated power supplies do is provide a constant output no matter what the input voltage is. So that JL 1000/1 is going to put out 1000 watts no matter if your car's voltage is at 14, 12, 10, etc. It will just pull more current when the voltage is low to keep the output power the same. An unregulated power supply, on the other hand, changes output power in relation to input voltage. So that memphis may put out 900 watts at 10 volts, 950 at 12 volts, and 1000 at 14 volts. I stand corrected then To get even more specific, it does 1000 watts between 1.5 and 4 ohms, and between 11 and 14.4 volts. It's called the R.I.P.S. system, and that stands for REGULATED Intelligent Power Supply. Technically you were both wrong

I might get around to it, it depends on how much I get paid this week, I'm supposed to buy some batteries on Saturday.

Don't do that unless you have a monoblock, or one that has 2 outputs but is internally bridged. DO NOT do that with a 2 channel, meaning don't have one channel running one voice coil and the other channel running the other voice coil.

I want some cookies! HI!- Help in general with a SSD 18"
I'm not the enclosure expert either, so I will let someone else handle that But as for subs, you need to get the D2 ohm SSD, so you can wire it to 1 ohm on your amp.- idea for box
I second that. Take some pictures or something for us, we can only help you so much with so little information.- Welcome to the IHoP
Sean, would it be possible to introduce a "Dumbass Newbie Thread Filter". I know there is a rule where new guys must have 3 posts in newbie sign in to be able to post other places and such, could a rule be implemented to tell new guys to look around at other threads before making a new one, like if they have a question, suggest that they use Search to find it versus make a new thread that gets repeated every few days?- Welcome to the IHoP
It sure is, I just got out of Eagle Eye, and it was actually intense!- Welcome to the IHoP
