Good luck giving a square sub 100+ watts over its rating, DOUBLE the power? Get real, you cant believe everything you hear On the other hand the BTL still remains musical on 6,000 watts, and takes burps id 9,000 watts no problem. Don't forget the efficiency as well. The Solo X is only 89.7 efficient, while the BTL is above 90. i had an L5 rated 600 rms and i fed it with an 1100 rms amp What kind of box though?

That depends on what your definition of "musical" is True Jim, I mean being able to play actual music for extended periods of time.- Hey
Why did you get shunned? Do DDers not like Sundown?- what to get
Because you could spend 3/4 of that amount and get a better sub while you are at it! The W7 is wayyyy overrated.- solo x or btl

Regulated? sorry not familiar with the terms haha ///M5, do you mean a MOSFET regulated power supply? Or the JL Audio R.I.P.S. System?- Hey guys (got a video too)
Did you mean way instead of was?? If that's what you really meant then yes that's kinda true. I tend to do a lot of research on things I'm interested in lol. Yeah, thanks! Its a good quality man, try to keep it!- Hey guys (got a video too)
I can tell, It's really smart that you did all that research. I wish I would have researched before I went out and bought audio equipment! Very few people start off in audio actually doing things right. Is that just the way you are or is that OCD? LOL Edit: Spelling- Whats Up
You are gonna have fun with that! I have a 1999 Stratus, they can get pretty loud for a trunk car!- Hey guys (got a video too)
Haha thanks man it is very nice! Especially from a single 12". I would recommend some Second Skin though. Ya know that metal absorbs the sound waves and vibrates and flexes, and that is a BIG waste of energy. Yeah I know sound deadening is on my to do list. I usually never have it up that loud though so its not a HUGE problem. But I do need some I'm not gonna lie. I figured you already knew, I'm just recommending Second Skin Damplifier Pro for your deadening needs- Hey guys (got a video too)

Lol same but i dont want to buy some poopy board that has no flex or anything (i like to ride street and jib and do rails) I love Ride boards, just for the "slimewall"- Anyone snowboard
I don't even care about the brands, I go cause I love to ride.- Welcome to the IHoP

Thanks and welcome aboard! Upon getting the plotter here I will alert everyone so they know where to go and further information. Would you be willing to make one for my SAZ 3000D and 100.4?- Z15 Prototype Testing

Wire each sub in series. Each sub will be at .5 ohm, combined It will be a 1 ohm. Fritos is right, and you're incorrect. Wiring in series, you ADD up the impedance of the coils. Wiring in parallel you divide the impedance.. So he would wire the coils on each sub in series for two 2ohm subs, then wire each sub in parallel for a final 1ohm load on the amplifier. You really shouldn't give out information if you're giving out false information man. Not trying to be a prick, but it can easily confuse n00bs to the audio scene. Damn boy, calm down there, so I mix up the terms. I still know the numbers. Ive always mixed up series and parallel, I have for years now. I cant relate the terms to what whey do. Normally all I say is which way to wire it and not waste my time with the idiotic names for them. You got your way buddy, I won't say series or parallel on here anymore. First of all, I'm not a boy. I'm a goddamn man. Second of all, if you're going to be giving out information, you need to make damn sure you're giving out CORRECT information. Mixing up series and parallel, no matter how harmless it seems, could cause someone to order the wrong things, or mis-wire something and fudge up both their subs and their amps. Didn't I read that you work at a car audio shop? And you still don't know your terms? I feel bad for your boss. Did you read any of my post? Yes I mix up the terms, but I know the numbers. I cant correlate a number and a word that have no connection to each other.- Welcome to the IHoP
Thanks Denim...I still have friends in that neighborhood that I visit, so I normally end up seeing the little bastard that broke into my house. It was 6 years ago...- New setup
