  1. That's an ignorant statement
  2. Good choice. Most of the quality installs I have seen lately have come from DIYer's. It seems most shops have inexperienced installers or installers that have just gotten burnt out or lazy. It is all about the money and not about the customer these days. The car audio industry needs some form of regulation. You pretty much need a license or degree to do anything else in this country but apparently it is no big deal to stick an inexperienced teenager under the dash of a new car and let them go to town... A little stereotypical don't you think True though Well big city shops must suck arse then. In my town of 55,000 people we have five shops, one if which I work at, and none of them would do chitty work like that. You are 100% correct. Location makes a huge difference. Now there are quality shops in every city but the larger companies especially in the larger cities have made chit like this their trademark. I grew up in North Dakota and this would never fly up there. The sad thing is there is nothing protecting the customer and I have seen a lot of this. You would think that the shops turning out work like this would be the ones closing up shop but it looks more like it is the small quality shops that are the ones suffering. Sadly, that's what is happening...

Wahoo! *high five* Jacob intended for it to be like an SAZ 1500...Good choice. I thought about the SAE 1200's before I got an SAZ 3000D

  6. Wow, a shop really did that? And they are still in business? That's what you get when you have (uneducated) DIYers install stuff...

The SAE 1200 does ~ 1500 wrms. it is VERY underrated.
  8. That's the unit I'm putting in my car soon. There's not much out there that doesn't qualify as an upgrade from a Jensen. Uhhh, yeah... I get that a lot. Let me know how you like it.

Fi BL, maybe an SSA ICON
  10. Do it. So...Buy it? I can get one for about $350...
  11. I'll work one up in the next few days for you. Schweet thanks Mark!
  12. Can you do one with this pic? Something like "Got power? Sundown's got power! Only at SSA."
  13. I think the 2008 KS series would look better with the paint, silver cones and grills...Just a suggestion.
  14. Sorry for the hijack, but has anyone ever used the Pioneer DEH-P800PRS? I want to upgrade the Jensen...
  15. Duran replied to tdenham's topic in General Fi
    It's an infinite baffle sub.
  16. That's what is sounds like, my Jensen turns my mono block on but no sound comes out until I turn the low pass filter on.
  17. BATCAPs and Yellow Tops aren't the same thing.

are you talking about? You know, theoretically of course, to gain only 3 decibels you need to double your power or double your cone area. I'm interested as to how you are going to even triple your cone area by using a wedge box versus a ported box.

I didn't know there ever were SSA shirts, I want one!
  23. Talk to a dealer, I can't remember our price off the top of my head.
