Yeah 400 is pretty overkill, but at least he wont have to worry about having enough amps, lol. How much does that alt put out at idle?

Any reason why you decided on that in dash unit?
  3. I do have it in the for sale section, but if its in my signature more people will see it if they don't look in the FS section.
  4. Did you read anything other than the title? read the very first post. Haha, no actually I didn't. I was just disgusted by the title. Sorry about that. I don't have enough experience with Boss to comment on how much it puts out, LMAO. I would agree with the 500-600 watt estimate.
  5. That F900 looks sick. I like the SD card slot, but that screen is smaller than I would want and I'm looking to buy soon.
  6. I didn't say it would be sloppier. RL-Ps just sound sloppy in general to me and I am just not a fan of the sound of 18s. Whether or not the sub is "sloppier" has a lot to do with the install and I know that has contributed greatly to why I am not a fan of 18s. Most installs I have heard with them don't sound that great.
  7. Wow, you definitely have A LOT of room. That setup will rattle your brain for sure! Imagine a couple of 15" RL-S in a t-line!
  8. I am just not a fan of the Rl-P. They sound sloppy to me and I can imagine the 18 would sound even worse. Not to mention I think the BL will get louder, which is what I like . I have frequented this forum for news and such for the past year and just never brought myself to join. I finally decided I would join up. Is that a problem?
  9. Haha, I work fast. I appreciate the kind welcome!
  10. Well the 8120 has Garmin navigation, built in bluetooth, a 6.95" touchscreen, and a 5.1 sound decoder. I was unhappy with my older unit because it would not play DVDs formatted in 5.1 sound. I have no intention of creating a surround environment in my car so I love the fact that the Kenwood has that feature. I am basically just looking for a user friendly unit that has a lot of capabilities. I don't necessarily HAVE to have navigation, but it is nice to have. I don't have to have the bluetooth either, but its a good function. Not to mention The Garmin and Bluetooth and 5.1 decoder cost close to 1000 together when bought as aftermarket add-ons with the Alpine and Pioneer units.
  11. I think its a shame you would run a nice sub on such a garbage amp.
  12. 500 CAN get you a system, but your best bet would be to save up money and do it right the first time.
  13. Has anyone tried the 8120 out? I am really considering it because of its seemingly endless list of functions. What other good double dins have you all tried?
  14. That is going to be a MASSIVE box. I designed a T-line for my 15" 5200 and it was 8.5 cubes gross.
  15. BL for sure.
  16. I would do a couple of ID Q's. Those would sound sweet.
  17. The custom pillars Meade made look sick. Do something like that.
  18. Should be a really nice setup.
  19. 10 gauge for speakers? Meh. Waste of money.
  20. The only ones I know of besides the ID's are some cheap Infinity comps I saw on Crutchfield and RE XXX comps.
  21. I have an 04 Denali and I was wanting to replace my OEM 8" and power it with a small amp as well. How did you get to it though? Its integrated into the center console isn't it? Would you do me a favor and PM me? I'd like to talk to you about it.
  22. You can do a great SQ setup with XXX's
  23. Hertz. Everything I have heard from Hertz is incredible.
