  1. using ohms law, you can easily see what Shizzzon is saying: ohms law, voltage= current x resistance... resistance of the amp stays the same, voltage and current are inversely proportional, as voltage drops, current spikes up to counteract the drop in voltage... non automotive example: This is why brownouts are so bad for a power grid as compared to a blackout -> (most of the time the speed of the rotor slows down) resulting in voltage dropping, the load (resistance) stays the same, to trying to keep up and maintain power to the load, current increases, burning out all your electrical equipment... this is the same in the automotive world.
  2. housing looks like that of RF power units
  3. voltage present doesnt mean you have a good battery fyi, hence a battery tester puts a load on it, not just check the difference in potential
  4. contact place of purchase, ask for a replacement
  5. looking forward to my new baby being born, W140, work your magic!
  6. i priced out a set of equipment using cerwin vega, powered 21, dual 12 stacks with horns, amps, feedback killer, etc for like 4k, best bet is to look around for actual gear bro..dont reinvent the wheel
  7. That SK-1500 amp used to power that zcon. lol yeah, but he has the amp, it will be now powered of rf1500bdcp, birth sheet shows 1800+ watts at 1ohm at 14.4, so i figure 1650ish at 13.8/14
  8. that is sexy as hell. that box looks great

I just got my zcon 12. I have never seen a package so heavy arrive packed so nicely. Normally shippers skimp on the protection, but not W140. Great communications and super fast shipping. Thanks.
  14. Did you divide by Zero again?I read an article that the number zero is actually not nothing, but is actually the value of all other numbers including the infinite in both directions of numerical value. Mind blown!! oh damn, never thought of it that way..i will forever be scarred

  19. looks good Lee, great job, how much more port length wouldve been required to hit 31hz? I was thinking possibly making a sliding port that goes over the permanent to be able to adjust the freq further...i just run in to issues getting it in the truck at that length, once it is in the truck that is a different story
  20. i know this is an older thread, but Quentin, where is your facility at, up near folsom or down closer to NOL?
  21. Figured i'd post this here since you are also the webmaster for the main SSA website. The enclosure plans for the ZCON subs are not currently hosted on the website any more despite having a designated page for them. Any suggestions on how to get all the enclosure plans?
