  1. 179 on a cbr929rr..those were the days...only did it once, to see how regearing the sprocket
  2. yeah the trap box plans with 18" bottom depth was sitting on the rails...the furthest the port using the 6x13 3/4 diameter space between the rails could go is 24"...will be tricky trying to get it in the truck if we go any larger... just know that the plans i sent was for 3.6 cubes after sub displacement only..it didn't include the port area, 3.25 ft3 is the max optimal volume for ported box for the zcon 12
  3. that looks great. i wish i had the talent to make boxes and do customization work like that
  4. great log Lee. As far as system beating...this setup pounds. I was able to get a taste of it and it went down nicely. I am highly impressed by system as a whole, the box, the wiring, everything. Definitely didn't cut corners.
  5. good, i am tired if playing small ball, i want to play big ball! i'm ready to have some fun with my music...i hope to have some sort of flex because my last 2 subs were not able to provide me with much...
  6. it is a toyota tundra double cab... the port would be pointing under the front passenger seat
  7. Leedog, the seat rails are not spaced evenly side to side, from the left rail to the wall is 5.25", from the right rail to the wall is 3.25
  8. The above link shows no port height to width ratio, its port area vs port speed. i was also googling stuff up, in addition to your link you provided.
  9. my mechman alternator doesnt have an adjustable pot, my ECU controls the voltage output of the alternator
  10. i appreciate all the feedback, as currently being discussed in another topic, prior to joining this group this week, i was also on the DD1 bandwagon. I am glad I didnt waste my money.
  11. yeah the 13x6 area is between the seat brackets, i have to get back to my truck to verify that it is centered in the 22.5, still stuck offshore..unsure when i will get back in
  12. let me go back to the drawing board with this... thanks for everyones input. it is much appreciated
  13. i could go up with height some, and possibly depth, but width is restricted to 22.5..unless i had a non-rectangular box, then that would add 13 x 6 box to the bottom
  14. i cannot go any larger then the box dimensions given in the first post..that is the largest i can go without taking seats out, and i am not willing to do that
  15. understood about the big boxes, hence i wasnt going minimum volume requirement chose a happy medium at 3 cubes
  16. messing around and researching, i see where it says square port HxW ratio shouldnt be more than 1:8, what is the reasoning behind that?
  17. RF 1500BDCP, and since it isn't enough area, i guess it will have to be a square port then
  18. Vehicle : 2010 Toyota Tundra DC Location in the vehicle: back passenger side Box size: W:22, H:19, D:17, using 3/4" = 3.0 cubes Subwoofer make and model: SSA ZCON 12 D2 Subwoofer Size: 12" Number of Subwoofers: 1 Type of Port: Aero Preferably (have a flared 3" aero already in my possession) What type of music do you like?: DNB Everyday listening Tuning Freq (Hz): 31hz Volume : 3.0 ------------------------------- So my question, is the 3" aeroport going to be large enough diameter for this sub? I've read where people have used ports that were too small for the sub utilized, and didn't want to run into the same issue. Any further suggestions or ideas for box and/or port(s) is welcome. If you have further questions for me in regards to this, feel free to ask as well.
  19. yeah, but i saw that huge invisible sarcasm sign with that post too
  20. As stated above, he is 100% absolutely correct. MMW Act will screw up a lot of dealership service leaders high strungness,
  21. a lot of my music is around 40 hz, yes
  22. 40hz test tone, til change in sound was heard, then turned down further...as described in a sonic electronics video on youtube...sold all my o-scopes
