Those MTX's look like they are about as old as my Rockford Fosgate 12" RFA-124's.

I can 110% agree with you on that. I like Diamond Audio and Image Dynamics but, his team deal that we get from him is not what i would call, worth it. I dont think im gonna support Rich and his shop much longer. Hes been getting on my case about why im not scoring loud, cutting down some of my friends (IE James Hegemann, the one that biult my last box) and just his overall racist attitude. I just picked up an RE XXX 12" for $150 and when i told him I have my sub for next year he asked "what is it?" I told him and then hes like "oh, its cheap then if you got it for only $150 or its blown" So for now im gonna be looking for another place to store my stuff at. Once i do that, rich will no longer be my place to shop for car audio. I think i do better without him and find better deals on my own. I do not wanna lose touch with you though, You're a pretty cool guy just not around a whole lot. Rich bad mouthed 1 too many friends of mine so at this point, id rather not deal with him. Right now dont go telling him this......i dont wanna deal with this situation right now. I wont bring up anything to him about your plans either. P.S. Ok, your on the right track. 1, upgrade all the wire. 2, add a 2nd battery to help with the current demand 3, upgrade the alternator with 1 that is about 165-190A output. Once you do all that, your amp should see the 14 volts all day long and you wont see any voltage problems later on even if you decide to upgrade to more power.

Diamond Audio is a really nice product. I second the RE XXX sub. I just picked up mine today (with the aid of a fork truck), looks very promising. Although im using mine for SQ and not SPL. Just a note, The xxx 12" weighs AT LEAST 60 pounds. I could not beleive the weight of it, heavier then my DD 9515!!

Sorry, been a little busy with things. New G/F which has been taking up time. Not that im complaining because if i wanted to do car audio full time and serious like i was 2 years ago, she would support me so its all cool. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. As for the ID SPL's I would be interested but for the lame fact of me being broke and just about jobless, I cant even think about the purchase of them. I would love to buy them if i wasnt losing my job. I do appreciate the offer though. B)

Sounds cool to me, just have to post a topic about it in a few months. See how much of an interest there is. I love car audio as a hobby and I love to share any opinions or help anyone if i can. Car Audio is basically just a hobby that if i can get to it cool if not, no big deal. I cant afford to keep buying system after system and not get any louder then a 149.6db. My personal high SPL is a 151.2db at a USACi outlaw show 2 years ago. Since then my highest has been only a 145.6db with a single Orion H2 and Hifonics XX-Hercules (2000 watts @ 1ohm). As he said. I have ran the MTX 81000D at 1 ohm for months on end and never had a problem. It gets a little hotter then usual and easier to clip (just like the JBL 1200.1) but it was fine. My MTX 81000D only fried on me because of a really bad voltage drop in the middle of a burp at meca world finals last year. Expensive weekend for me that year.
