  1. I have no idea what this means but will it be resolved with the final version?
  2. Actually all those comments are on their site. As for matching the performance I figure the new SI will win. Not to put ED down. I currently have two of their flat cone 10's in a sealed box and they get pretty loud and I know other people have had reliability issues but mine have been fine. I know someone that bought their new 13kv2 and the sound quality impressed along with how loud it got for a single 12/13". It played all types of music including classical very well. I sounded like you were listening to a live classical performance. My 10's on the other hand sound good with anything but classical. They just don't seem to respond or reproduce it well. Anyway yeah I figure the SI 15" although I've never owned their speakers will outperform the 16ov2. This is going to be awesome. I'm going to run the 15 in a sealed box hopefully it will be louder than my 2 10's and sound better. I will be getting 250 watts more than my 2 tens that received 600 rms total. I love the internet sub companies. I don't know if I'll ever buy another sub from a store like circuit city, best buy or good guys. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh if I'm looking for SQ out of this SI 15" I'm guessing I should run close to a 2.2 cubic feet box. Am I right? Or should I run 3 cubic feet?

  4. Well it looks like the SI 15" is going to have some competition from the 16" OV2 as it finally came out. I guess we'll see which is supreme. Some of the comments from mags for the ED line: "the embodiment of what a great subwoofer should be" "the real deal" "defines how low frequency should be reproduced"
  5. Wouldn't the sub have moved more in a sealed enclosure? I always thought there was supposed to be less visible movement in a ported or vented box. I guess it shows what I know.
  6. Cool that's the exact config I need. Thanks
  7. I'm thinking about getting a 15" while the sale is going on. What are the wiring configs for it? dual 2 ohm, dual 4 ohm dual 8 ohm, single 4 ohm? Thanks
  8. What the hell!? I thought the new subs were supposed to be cheaper to produce than the old one? Why is the price going up?
  9. Noticed the prices for the 12" and 15" are crossed out. Is this a holiday special or part of the switching in materials the subs are made of? What is the price of the subs now?
  10. Is that better gas mileage because it is lighter than the competition? not to be taken seriously.
  11. Okay first off how much does the 12" weigh? It is going into a sportscar so the individual is trying to minimize the weight. Is the SI 12" able to perform well with 600rms? Does anyone know the weight of the OV2, kv2, SX, lethal injection subs? If this is a really heavy sub does anyone know a company that makes light subs that have great sq 1st and get loud? How does this sub compare SQ wise with the ov2 (since it's not out yet lets say the kv2 ED audio), Incriminator audio lethal injection, SX RE audio? We also want to mimize the space taken in the car so we plan on using a small sealed box.
  12. Not to bash elemental design but will it take you as long as it takes ED to release your new subs that are cheaper?
  13. some anser this please <{POST_SNAPBACK}> some anser this please <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How long until this new cheaper 15 comes out? Will you carry the old version? Or will it take the place of the existing one? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there will be no change in performance. there will be a slight change in appearance, but performane WILL NOT be affected. there will be no "new" and "old" versions, same speaker as it has always been... i spoke with nick earlier tonight, and he told me some more news. nothing solid yet, so no announcements. just that prices are still expected to drop, woofers should be coming soon, and he told me about the cosmetic changes that could potentially take place, and if what he told me is true, they should be freakin awesome looking <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How soon? Will they be here in december? If they will be here by mid december I'll dump my 16ov.2 order and pick up this 15" instead.
