  1. x2 on the big 3. Cheapest electrical upgrade you can do besides cleaning up your grounds. As far as a capacitor goes I wouldn't recommend it. Not a big fan of them. Battery power is a lot better I think.
  2. As people posted before it could be a the box, I had it happen to me last summer. I knew my favorite sub was blown till I had my tech look at it and he found the box seperation..
  3. My rears took a good piece of my budget, I regret it. Waste of money and amp and battery power. I have a 2 seater so the back passenger doesn't apply for me though.
  4. ooo i like but hows the warranty, and ive read alot about them but never seen or herd what they can do, and are they bench tested and how much do you think they are really putting out(srry ive got a lot of questions) how power hungry are they o and to kinda end this post any expected date of release cuz ill have the money for a amp on Friday. I have spent countless, And I mean countless hours researching my next amp. Sundown is one of the very top on my list. My reasoning is 1. Everyone says customer service is second to none 2. I've seen the termlab numbers and benchtests for them and was impressed. 3. Jake is the easiest owner I have ever seen to get a hold of. 4. He has some great programs for his customers. The after warranty repair deals he gives etc. 5. Those amps hold crazy retail value. I think that is the best sign of a good product.
  5. I can't recall ever hearing anyone complain about Mechman. Only good things heard about his alts and service.
  6. For just practice look on craigslist, I sold subs, box and amp that was doing 142+ termlab out of a trunk for 175 bucks on there a month or two ago. You can find good deals there.
  7. Fellow Oregonian here. Crx, couple 12's, a couple amps, In the mid valley.

Hmmm, Interesting. I think one of these in the back of my crx would be a hoot.
  9. An old online game is where I got mine, Asherons Call. It was my first characters name so I used it on the game forum. I've used it ever since.
  10. If you have a box in the trunk facing backwards like I do, cut a piece of mdf to fit so the sound is bouncing off it instead of nooks and crannies, also fill the side trunk vents with foam. I know this is obvious, But I jumped nearly 3 db's by getting a better cleaner ground.
  11. Hmmm, that gives me an idea...
  12. Here goes. Not sure what it means, I hope the t/s's are in there. But as far as box building goes I'm a carpenter and understand dimensions and building techniques. Diamond audio mailed this to me after I posted. So they recommend 1.65 cubic but I doubt thats optimum for spl. spl-86.5 qms-3.5 qes-0.60 qts-0.51 fs(hz)-33 Vas(L)-22 cms-0.066 Mms-330 sd (m squared) 0.0487 BL(t.m)-21 Re(ohms)-3.85 xmax(mm)-24 Znom(series ohm)4 Vented enclosure Vb-1.65 / 1.2 f3-33 / 38 fb-33 ports-1 port i.d.-4" port length-12"
  13. I picked up a tdx 15 dual voice coil 2 ohm for $100 in a pre-fab box. 1200 watts rms. Hooked it up and found out the box is broke. It sounded like Donald Duck getting kicked in the nads. I would like to build an spl box for it but after googling my fingers off I can't seem to find any box spec recommendations. I was hoping to find a simple slot port build or something because I am still a noob and don't quite understand the Qs's and the other mysterious letter number references on the tech sheets Any ideas or opinions would be appreciated. I prefer spl over sq.

New to the site from Oregon. Recently bought a work car, It had an amp (infinty reference) and subs(12" alpines) in it already. I had no idea bass could be so much fun . As a 45 yr old late bloomer I'm hoping to learn a litte to feed my latest obsession.
  16. Ran across the site while googling for amp reviews
