  1. I have not delt with the Xcon so i don't know its properties- but i have installed Level 4 drivers in a variety of enclosures for different goals and have not been disappointed. When decided drivers for a friend or customer the lvl 4 plays loud and low sounding great on its rated 1k and taking as much as 2k daily for very specific spl oriented setups. You can always toss a lvl 5 coil and upgrade the suspension a bit to get a solid daily 1500w+ driver and that is always nice when somebody gets hooked and wants more i can rebuild their woofer to suit more what they want. GL with your choice! -Drew
  2. No Problem Boss!!! Thanks for building such loud fuckin woofas! I think for amps with four lvl 6s will give us a moderate gain -Drew
  3. Moar Pix!!!! I've audibly noticed XLs breaking in. -Drew
  4. As far as being inverted my thoughts have always been this: the woofer creates equal energy in each direction, with one side being limited by the aerodynamics of the basket and motor. I have never had excessive motor noise, nor have "lost output" from inverting. The audible difference is in the volume change from pulling the motor out of the box. In this install, space is very tight (something like 2.4cuft per driver) so inverting gained us lots of efficiency and that added "boomy" tone it was lacking before. Lastly, I've found that inverting them allows for better ventilation of the motor and it will run cooler than if placed in the box especially if the windows are down and the cabin has good movement. Let me know if you have any more specific questions about inverting. Jeep is a 1991 Cherokee and the floor boards look pretty good i havent noticed anything "missing" but then again we're in Northern California so cars tend to stay in very good shape over the years. What you described sounds like rusty from nasty weather conditions. -Drew
  5. Thanks! We'll see what can be gained from going 11.9v with ~270A of charging to solid voltage with ~730A of charging -Drew
  6. Comments are always welcome! -Drew

  9. 150.6 @50hz 147.3 @32hz on 3,000wrms NO audible Port noise. It does exactly as i planned it to do- its loud wide enough frequency band Good initial Numbers and looks SEXXXXY Woofs have only been in a few hours- but i'd consider this a success -Drew
  10. The lvl 3s are worth the upgrade and I think will sound better on 1kw than the lvl 2s -Drew
  11. Thanks! i hate 10min vids of people showing the volume knob and expecting it to be entertaining. my vids are short and to the point, flex, porn, done -Drew

  15. i would jump to the XL around 2500wrms and to the 5 around 4000wrms I've ran both the XL and 4 on 3k and the lvl 4 was louder on the meter when the XL "felt" louder. also, the lvl 4 runs into mechanical problems around 2800wrms while the XLs seem to to take anything you can throw at it. -Drew
  16. when you did your big 3- did you upgrade your wire from alt positive to bat positive? if you missed/forgot this wire that H/O alt will pop your stock alt fuse VERY quickly!!! get a DMM and check those wire and get back to us -Drew
