  1. I got a pre-release of the Watertake BigWater setup... everything should be in tomorrow according to fed-ex's website so I will begin installation after I finish up my mods. Basic e-spray of the case frame, dvd drives, floppy, power supply etc. I will have lots of pics soon!
  2. lol just write out the list of what you need. Mine is far too long to list up here.
  3. You can build a nice computer for less than $1k, but if you are wanting a top of the line CPU for gaming. I would go with an AMD 64. The amd 64 FX-53 would put you a good bit above budget if you are looking for lots of extras too, but its price tag is @ $800 or so. Take a look at some of the lower range AMD 64 processors and get at least a 939-pin motherboard and chipset and you should be fine.
  4. Actually including the two samsung 19" lcd screens I am to total of around $4k, but that is also including a good bti of software so i have a legit copy or two of all the pirated chit I have laying around the house. I will get some pics up once all of my parts are in and I have it built up. George, yup a few expecially expensive components in there. Hell the memory alone s setting me back around $550 and the processor is around $800, but it will be worth it once it is all set up and I have a system that is my own, as opposed to the pre-built systems I own already.
  5. I own three alienware systems along with a few homebuilt. It can be cheaper to purchase everything yourself and put one together, but you do not get the same support and warranty as you do if you purchase a pre-built system. Alienware is definately worth it if you are going to buy one and can afford it, but make sure your pocket book can handle it.
  6. Just ordered the new parts for my machine. Thought I may as well post it here and share in the dream. Motherboard - Asus SK8V Processor - AMD 64FX-53 (940) RAM - 2GB Corsair XMS Platinum (2gb additional l8r) Video - ATI X800 XT Pro 256mb AGP Sound - Creative Audigy 2zs Platnium Pro 7.1 HD - 2xWestern Digital Raptor 74gb 10krpm (additional 2 hd will be added l8r) DVD - Plextor 712-SA SATA DVD burner Lite-on 16xDVD Case - Thermaltake Shark Series (pre-release) Cooling - Liquid cooling provided by Thermaltake Hardcano Harddrive cooling This is the basics... I will get some pics up as soon as all of the parts are in and I begin to piece it together.
  7. SP2 is perfectly fine and should not effect your internet connection. What it likely did was install the firewall to run and made it appear as though your connection was not present or was lagging. All you need to do is open the security center and turn it off. You should be running fine. (this is for anyone else that runs into this problem and or if you have it update again... intentionally or accidental)
  8. Not going to donate any raptors, but let me know what you need and I can get it to you. I have spare parts of every nature running around here and since I just ordered parts for an entirely new system I have tons more parts comming available in a few days. Send me an e-mail @ [email protected] or drop me a line on here. Alaxan
  9. Just droppin a line to all. I am back! Yeah I made my re-appearance on caraudio.com not long ago, but I have been busy as hell plotting out a new system for the 2005 Dodge ram quad cab... and getting business rolling after my move back to WI, as well as planning out servers and computer systems I am ordering tomorrow. I will be in and out, so just give me a shout.
