16 year old budget build
if you want the extra money for the bl you could get one of the lanzar opti1000 from db-r for 199 still a very good amp with enough power for a bl.

Fi BL 18" Port Design
before displacement you get 8.62cuft with a port 18.5hx8w you want a port length 35in so a is 8w b is 12L c is 23L. total port displacement is 2.99cu leaving you with 5.62cu before sub displacement. i hope that helps.

Sundown E8 Tline
by sealing off the back you have turned it into a 4th order bandpass tline. try shifting the sub over one row in the box like i said earlier you should have a better sound and more output than the 4th order.

kinetikvspowermaster
a good bang for buck battery

What would YOU buy?
other than the fact the size of a sub has nothing to do with what it can play if you cant fit 15's the 12's are 152 each
-
Wiring my icon to my 1000D
it would be the same the outputs are the same post just two hookups so it will still show up as the same load to the amp

SPL S3 Vs. Nightshade
i would laugh if your 12 is louder but 2 15's has a lot more cone area in the right box in the right vehicle i could see them being louder. reliability is another thing though. even if he is louder by the way he sounds he will clip the hell out of the amp and smoke the coils in a week.
-
What would YOU buy?
2 ia lethal injection 15's 168 each dual 4 wired parallel to 1ohm. 600rms each 1200w for the pair.

Bad box woes.
have you tried moving your box around my buddy has a blazer and for comps he has subs up port toward driver side. just turn it and move the spair to the other side. if that doesnt work i have had good luck with sub and port up in suv's. i tried sub and port back it sounded ok but wasnt that loud up front turned the box p and got a lot more output from it also sub forward port up has had good results you could try that with your box as well. i think your biggest problem would be the tuning though if you listen to a lot of rap tune around 36hz and you should see a noticeable increase in bass.
-
another "please help me build a box"
id go with the larger port

What do these sub specs mean?
not that great of a sub, peaky so it can get loud, but the quality isnt there.as far as the power you are using considering they are rated at 1200wrms and you are giving them 450 id go with a larger box to compensate for lack of power something like 4.5cu with 60sqin of port tuned to around 34hz. would get loud but i wouldnt exspect it to sound great.

Sundown E8 Tline
45 45 is two lines 75in long at a ratio of 1:1 a 30 60 is 112in 56in so a little longer overall but not much. so if you dont like the box try shifting the subs over one line lengthening one side and shortening the other should make it close to a 30 80.
-
Sundown E8 Tline
if it reacts anything like a sixth order bandpass tuning both to the same wont be good. the 35 45 idea is a little better id do 30 60 if you had the room.

Suggest a LOC
if you use a loc connect it to the rear speaker wires from the head unit
-
07 FI BLZ fully loaded x2 12"
they should be fine getting 2500w each if your talking about the btl's if its the bl's i wouldnt give them more than 1500 each

Powering 2 BTLs
id look into an atomic 5000.1 can be had around that price or you could get a pair of saz3000d and strap them get them from db-r.com cost about 1300. as far as electrical a good ho alt and solid battery bank should be fine just get good batterys 80+ah ratings d3100's or similar.

12" Alpine Type R's
And a good price Thank you. sure thing i have a splz1x 3000d and i love it they have the same board as the power acoustik A series amps i think they are a good bang for the buck amps. not saying its a good or bad amp but the board means nothing its the components put on them. you could have a great designed board but put a bunch of crappy components on it for cheap and you would have just that a cheap amp that may have problems. you put great components on the same board and you will have a much better amp that costs more.
