Inside of the beetle is clean, almost like new. Now to wash and wax it Friday for the parade Saturday. -

Little info on the 38. Completely original which is why it has won nationals twice and only gets preservation awards now. Can't win anything higher.

Thanks R2, these are pretty easy. I just forget to take pics when we are working on the old cars.
My FIL decided to change the break fluid in the 38 with the silcon type. He was out driving it and after the breaks heated up and the fluid got warm the breaks quite releasing. Seems those old lines swelled shut and would not allow the fluid to return to the master cyclinder. So we spent some quality time getting the 38 ready for parades and shows.
We have been getting crazy rain here, kinda tired of it. One minute it is nice, next dark and pouring with water running everywhere.
Looks like a fun weekend project.

As luck would have it the 4runner rolled 99k and the muffler rusted off.
ANy start is good as long as you keep going. Never feel down about where you are starting from.

Side by side shot. The only difference I can tell at this point is I lost a little out put, but it seems to hit harder. Hope to start the amps racks next week.
Brakes and clutch are due on the P5. Sell itOr bring it up and we can do it over the weekend.
