Bummer, I wouldn't know as I am immune. Amusing to since I have given it someone before without having it. Never gotten it before... Wish I was immune to it. Some times you catch your self scraching it open and not knowing.
I can't wait until he returns. Should see some mad progress then.

I can only comment on the ssd, as I have never seen or heard a dc in person. As for your question on which would get louder, that is going to be dependent on your install.
Make sure you use at least 3/4" to 1" material and let your adhesive set up. In the past I made large acrylic aquariums, planning and prep is everything.
