Aggressive tunes? Like? Slpiknot, mudvayne, danzig, no one, Scrape, tool, APC, fear factory. All of those are my harder end listening. And on each set of comps, when I baffled them they all get down to the 55-65hz range without distortion.

I think I am going to go for it, I wanted a console anyway and that price is hella cheap. Just called the local chevy dealer, $359.81+tax for the same thing, its only $179 on ebay

I saw and put up a link to the upgraded console, I think that If I took the top compartment and lid off and glassed the inside and glassed the top only leaving the cup holders that would work, the cutting into the back and extending the thing on each end with glass.

With the console above there will be a good 3-4" on each side that I could "extend" the console to have it wider. take out the compartment and top lid, glass the whole thing inside and over the top just leaving the cup holder. then extending the whole thing behind the seats

Steve got me interested in the idea of building a console that I could put a decent SQ sub in. My thoughts were to have something like this, Box will be fabric matched and coushioned <SP bolt to surrent center seat/console location, have brackets that fit stock storage box on it. Each end of the box will extend behind each seat for added volume, passenger side extention will be the port. OR Plastic or vinal covered glassing to look similar to the current console on the LS & LT extended cab with basically the same layout. OR But an existing color matched console and modify it to incorporate the box design. Ideas and suggestions definatly welcome. I will make a better version when I get home useing photoshop

I am going to tell you from experience with the CDT line that they love the baffles. Without them they are worthless for mid-bass responce, adding the baffles are an easy way to fix the problem. Try it you wont regret it,

CDT HD-62, make baffles, plenty of mid-bass sealed cost $300 from djdilliodon leaves you $200 for an amp that does 150-200x2@4ohm and baffles

This is gonna sound dumb but, I would love to have the room to test out any decent SQ sub with greater then 7" of depth
