  1. Booooo i =
  2. 105a alt *12 = 1260watts so yes more reserve would help. Also make sure you charge ur battery
  3. also diff calculators have diff calculations they use. So i dont think any online is 100% accurate i use the 12v though.
  4. ive never heard port noise lol never rounded anything either and yea i meant 45 its late lol
  5. the box they show is 4cubes optimal port is 3.5W x 30L 16H lol, ignore the 90deg cuts if u cant do that, just make them straight, like the pic above The outer pieces are just bracing, which u can just put a 2x2 piece of wood to do. there angled so u dont have standing waves, but i doubt ul notice the diff, if you really think its a problem glue some insulation to the corners, or cut some pvc to round them off i've edited this like 10 times now lol
  6. slot port is the same as building a sealed box, lol u just have a shorter piece with another piece connected to it. just 2 extra pieces of wood
  7. does the box they specify on the site just not fit ur car? i agree u get more port area with a slot port, unless you can find some 8in pvc like i did for my old box lol. girls uncle works for the water company with aero's id say u have better placement, just make sure u get them flared.
  8. ^^^correct it cuts off at 14.7v I have a traditional 14.4v system, but i had a diode in there to run 15.1v, usually sat around 14.8v though. and yes newer cars charge up to 15v. Basically i took the diode out and it runs fine, but like stefan said on newer cars it could cause problems.
  9. usually when u install a new amp it will have i guess u could call it surge current. Kind of like installing a new battery and it sparks a little bit from the cars electric system.. not a big deal honestly
  10. srt8 jeep not sure on used prices though
  11. There probably bigger so they dont melt. Ive had some that have melted pretty bad before. More material = better heat distro. It shouldn't spark that bad, if thats the case just touch the power wire to the + battery terminal first. It sparks... Then connect it to the fuse
  12. u have the round ones or square?
  13. Is there anyway to run these at 14.8v+ ?
  14. the bags on my town car 93, still good bags on the navigator 98 still good.. and there not even heavy duty.
  15. my brother had one of those blazers as his first car, mmmm 14 yrs ago i think. Looking at this makes me want one lol
  16. trying turning the box facing up see if it sounds better.
  17. retail for 13,000? lmao wtf
  18. djjdnap replied to porkchop's topic in Team IAK
    lmao
  19. umm u putting speakers in ur door? just spreading info 'TRYING' to be helpfull
  20. ^^ yea thats what i was going to say.. but u can always do it like a wall build and just keep making the port smaller till you get it where u want it, if you have a meter readily available that is.
  21. glue should hold it. I've seen ppl use no screws at all, but hella clamps. only problem i see with drilling them deeper into the wood is you breaking the wood accidently.
