  1. 100% coper copper coated aluminum. most wire is rated at what -40 deg C. to +90 deg C
  2. sounds like a bad mosfet/transistor If one went bad it will be like a short causing it to suck alot of current. Usually what fails on most amps. they are the things connected to that fan housing in your last pic.
  3. Not gonne lie i stared at this and this for a while oh yeah nice box too, lol
  4. if that would would have came off while u was pullin on it. good stuff seems like though
  5. So Ive been looking at numbers, maybe im way off. its .078ohms/1000ft ohms/1ft ------------ 12v 14v------------ 12v Amps--- 14v Amps 1-/0 0.00078 ------------ 12v 14v------------ 15384.61538--- 17948.71795------------ 205.1282051 205A is at 75ft which is close to 250likemost charts say with the 1ft values are high as hell though. This looks more reasonable. 1/-0 ------------ Ohms ------------ ------------ Amps 350A ------------ 12-- 14 ------------ ------------ 12-- 14 50ft ------------ 0.034285714---- 0.04 ------------ 350-- 350 25ft ------------ 0.017142857---- 0.02 ------------ 700-- 700 12.5ft------------ 0.008571429---- 0.01 ------------ 1400-- 1400 6ft ------------ 0.004285714---- 0.005 ------------ 2800-- 2800 So i know .078/1000 !=.00078... but the numbers were closer i suppose at first....Soo i doubt the first numbers are right. The second attempt was taking 350A at 50ft ohms law = .0342...ohms. Divide that is like adding another 1/0 wire halving the resistance..i think, so you get the halved impedance then E/R=I Guess it would be easier to cut a ft of 1/0 and get the actual resistance. Just me being bored. edit-its a chart when i edit it when it post it goes together
  6. no go on the diagram
  7. Sounds like you should run another run of wire to ur bank if its dropping that much in the rear. check grounds.. snds like a voltage drop
  8. 1.yup http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=12#results You can just ground 1 to the chassis and then to each other, or run a wire from the front - terminal to the one in the rear and not worry about chassis and all + to + , - to - 4. yea everything has to be grounded to complete the circuit for it to work. 5.yea that should work blue is usually Rem wire, but i assume u checked that on the diagram. 6.really it only has 1 out? odd, but yea get a y connector.
  9. yea 68cents for 1/0 isnt bad at all. Most places ive seen is at least a dollar.
  10. http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/showthread.php?t=145049 Not a bad idea if you ask me
  11. yea i would said a bolt through the wood, tack weld the bolt the steel. or bolt and nut. orrrr DUCK TAPE!!!! lmao
  12. well in theory more vibrations from the car is a loss of DEEBEEZ. Thats y people all hold the doors and sit on windows at shows. I'd do it just because sometimes vibrations just sound like ass from the outside of the car.
  13. wood glue, screws might pull it closer. and last i agree wt cobra, get an extra piece and glue it to the inside of the box. or saw dust and wood glue is always a win.
  14. how much for both of those batts? I can ducktape them back together lol
  15. So i can clip my subs even faster? I must have this, cuz i cant turn my gain up anymore more DBeeeeez :rofl2: J/k
  16. stainless or zinc i suppose
  17. all i read was you spent 100$ on optical out cable Thats like paying 100$ for HDMI cable or RCA's u must be ballin
  18. yea if the car was on it should have been reading 14v or so along with the battery.
  19. sexy times??? lol LMAO dont think ive ever used straps though. i should for deadlifting, but ehh
  20. If i remember right. the fuse panel is on the passenger side. Find the radio or antenna fuse and run a wire from there. Dont remember which one i used when i helped my friend install his. If you have a test light, find one that cuts on when the key is forward, backward, and on. And he is talking about his HU not his amp FYI.
  21. http://www.mechmanhi...ost-Module.html
  22. bought a bar 1.25x1.25x36 for 36$ on amazon they had 24in length for even less, shipped in like 2 days search for aluminum flat bar.
  23. Well went to radio shack today got 4 rectifier diodes 50v 6A, for like 2.49$ Soldered some wire to the tips, heatshrink and electrical taped them up. cut the wire, put the diode in between and presto change-o well it was at 14.7, rev it a bit and highest it went was 15v. 15.2v. although after reading some more the voltage drop of a diode is .7, but we'll see.
