Too many people are happy with the volume knob...they all know what voice coil smells like now lol.
  2. It will be permanent and that link to nicks thread explains it and shows you pretty good on blow-throughs. You need to build a nice box that would be optimal for the sub.
  3. Wiring parallel will have a final impedance of 1 Ohm on the D2s so it will be good for a mono block @1 Ohm. These subs will sound insanely better than the kickers IMO. just make a good enclosure.

    mis-information is bad...
  5. what kind of car do you have?
  6. what kind of car do you have?
  7. haha "team banging on a budget"
  8. yeaaaaah my number 1 friend!
  9. its not MDF...its Trupan-light.
  10. Pictures? I want to order a box from you SOOOOOOOO bad, those make mine look like a 5 year old built it. but i never have any money anymore...
  11. You should make some vids!
  12. yeah im AKjay907 on FSC i was just talking about the roll pan and whatnot...
  13. do you have a bench seat or buckets? thats a good looking enclosure, i thought of something like that before for my Silverado single cab, but ended up doing a blow-through
  14. WAF should be a parameter...
  15. Whats wrong with Sundown Audio? Rockfords are nice too...
  16. BUDGET?!?!?!?!??!?!?????? Fully loaded SSD's FTW in my opinion
  17. My leaf-blower hits harder than that...with sound quality too.
  18. 35Hz is a little high IMO
  19. The cheapest option is to just make a SEALED box...Qs perform pretty good in sealed applications IMO. Make an enclosure around 2-2.5ft^3 and you will have more room for grocery shopping. Most people I know just throw all the groceries in the back seat and floor.
  20. The only thing I would suggest is to put 45s in the enclosure, but you have to take apart your enclosure. Other than that, you should just build an enclosure and use round ports, switch them out for music when your not competing as I am assuming you have the system in your daily driver.
  21. I did the same for my silverado, relocated the HVAC controls to an overhead console i got. soldered all the wires and heat shrinked them like no other!
  22. that will cost you alot of money, first you should tell us how much you want to spend (Budget)... Personally i would get a single Fi BTL 18" in a huge enclosure ported to 28Hz and a Sundown SAZ-3000D which will run about 1500 dollars all together if u make your own box. loud daily pounder. not including electrical upgrades or front stage. I love the looks of the new body style (2007+) Tahoes...mmmmmm
