just because you got it done at an "audio shop" doesnt mean they know what they are doing all the time. i'd take my car to one of these guys back yards before i took it to an audio shop....

i never understand how people manage to blow these subs....

n the next couple weeks i plan on starting to order everything for my system so i can have it done by summer. i am stuck between the HDC312 and BTL12.... i have heard the btl in person and am in love with it, and also have heard nothing but good things from people that own them. to me they just seem like an overall better choice, but that may just be because of all the good i have heard/seen about them. the HDC312 people are telling me is comparable to the BTL12, can take just as much power as the BTL, and can get just as loud. i dont know how true that is, but if it is on the same level as the BTL i would consider buying it, especially for the price. also from what a lot of people that own the sub tell me they have their boxes tuned n the mid to high 30's...i want mine low 30's high 20's maybe and i dont know how they perform there. for the price if the HDC3 is at the same level as the BTL i think that is a good deal, but i would be more than willing to pay the price for the BTL's because i know what they can do and handle. they have been my choice for quite some time now and i know they can handle what i want to throw at them. i know what im getting with the BTL's which is why i'd pay the price, but if i can save some cash and buy something that can compete with it im all for it....im stuck.. suggestions guys?? if you need more clarity or if any of that didnt make sense let me know.....i typed it kinda quick

i rewired it already to 4 ohms....sounds way better than before.

honestly there would be no point in making a 24" sub....either way there are already tons of subs out there that put the jackhammer to shame. its a huge ass paperweight...dont get me wrong, its a beast of a sub....but its a waste of money for what you get out of it.

who knows....what 15's are you talking about in the first place, you do realize how many different 15" subs there are right? and nobody has even heard the 22's yet as far as i know....so that would be hard to answer either way.
