  3. I have about 100sq so far. I'm not finished yet....
  4. Tons of non car audio things were done this past week, so I still dont have a real 'audio update'. I got my HID's installed and I'll never own another car without them.. they improve night driving so much. I got my amp back from paint though... Thank you, I am taking my time and budget is the big reason haha. I can't wait till it's done.
  5. I'm interested as well on shelf life of damplifier pro
  6. 70 amps is pretty weak. The corolla also has some weak grounding, a big 3 is much needed on this car (at the least). I've installed a 180amp alternator from Excessive Amperage.
  7. I have an LE (same car, different trim) my build log is here http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=12717
  8. http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR-587-7-1-Ch...sxp_grid_pt_2_0
  9. No I'm trying trying to talk em' into piecing together a setup instead of buying a home-theater-in-the-box deal.
  10. I ended up with the seagate 750 on sale from best buy fyi
  11. What about Klipsch subs? John, I'll check out the Kef Audio subs..
  12. Ahh you guys are killing me!! Don't make me send them to the big box store for an Infinity woofer
  13. These are nice, but way over budget (which I failed to mention). I'm looking for something more common, and cheaper. Under $250.
  14. I've been out of the home audio loop for a while now. A friend of mine would like to spend some of their tax return money on a new home theater setup. I suggested going with a 3.1 setup because of the shape and seating of the room. The area I'm weakest on is the subwoofer. Does anyone have any recommendations for a subwoofer? Preferably someone with experience with the sub they recommend that can be bought or ordered, not "build a box for a Fi 15" " The amp will most likely be the Denon AVR-587.
  15. Those are going to be some LOUD doors! Nice work Steve.. can't wait to see the pretty part.
  16. Welcome to SSA!
  17. I'd hold out until he reads this post. I'm sure he'll handle this quickly.. hang tight!
  18. Excellent write up. May be to much reading for teh nubs though.
  19. I know you guys are all just dying for updates I got some new toys in the mail... Kicker SX900.4 for my component set, I hope they like it! HID kit w/ digial ballasts from Dxhid.com - these guys make an excellent kit, and come with a great warranty.
  20. I didn't know that. If my cd player had Zune control, I'd buy one. Unfortunatley, iPod and Myspace rule our country.
  21. A CD is better than an ipod in sound quality. Downloading a CD through Amazon or itunes is not as equal as the CD's quality (they compress the sound). Lossless codec's like FLAC on the other hand... Even though I live off of my ipod, when I want to play a favorite artist of mine, I'll typically put the cd in.
