  1. need paypal adress or link if paypal is to be used .
  2. i want another 100.4d let me know how you want payment
  3. why not try to make a ported enclosure first. tune it low. if you like it then your ohm load would stay correct and you would be correcty powered. if you want to realy feel it down low then ported sound like what you want. and the q still sounds great ported. if its not what your looking for then your only out a test box.
  4. all i can say is wow 80 sqft is that in 2 doors?!!!!! i put about 20 sqft in each door of my explorer and that was regular damp. i don't think i could gain MUCH more by adding more layers than i have. your doors must close like they are made of lead. nice.
  5. made sence to me . putting amp on box is wrong. if your going to do it anyways you should double wall your mdf to minimize vibration transmited from enclosure to amp circuitboard. purp :>}
  6. i don't know where you live but i'm in ct. so if you can make the drive i'll give you a demo of my q15" ported and sealed i only run 1 and it rocks my suv i do mostly run it ported < and it sound great either way > and i don't run that much power to mine < i have it on tap and don't use it all > i have never even heard a bl but my q is enough for me and sounds nice.
  7. i like second skin bed liner
  8. i would mask off the front, then cut out the lettering. then shoot glass bead into the lettering. peal mask off, leave front raw. no paint or stain. or leave it as is. that looks great .
  9. my q15 is louder than my exporer can handle and boy can it dig down low. and most importantly it sound so clean, i mean realy clean!!!!! i've been thinking of trying a smaller q

    i got the i-bar kit with my d3400. it is great for my use. it has 1 side and 2 top mounts. came with two different type of posts and some hex bolts. it interlocks with the batt, and looks like it belongs there. i think it was only $25-30. i used the side connection to bolt my 1/0 jumper with ring terminals to my alt+ i used one of the sets of posts for my stock batt wires terminals, on top i used the last top connection to bolt my ring terminal for my 1/0 run to the back the same with the neg side groundstrap , stock and 1/0 run to back all get there own connection. verry clean and i did not have to alter my factory wires. i think that there is different configurations for i-bars with different part numbers. if you need i could go look at the packaging to get which part number this kit is.
  11. mid bass is where it's at, for rock/metal all i added was some 6.5" id oems. what a diference, it is the kick missing in bass drums. now my sub sounds like it should and not muddy at all.
  12. rms amp meter <clamp & dmm> rms volt meter speaker connections at amp now when showing off i don't have meters hooked up because this is done on the fly and randome but i'm going on how i set it up with o-scope and meters o-db tones to stay under 1000w now i understand that maybe it went a little over 1000w on some recordings but if so not by much. now i'm not trying to brag that i'm loud, i'm not about that and have never been on a meter. also people jumping out of car arn't at soundoff comp they are normal people that have only ever heard brick and morter sound systems.
  13. i'll tell you i have the fi q15 without bp on an saz1500d and love it. but i think that you would be fine with an sae1000. i don't think that iv,e ever even used close to 1000w when showing off before evryone jumps out holding ears. for my personal music listening i know that when i,m cranking it up on my way to work i,m only using 400w-600w tops and it hurts alittle. also my 1500d has never shown any temp change ever, no matter how hard i push it or for how long. i didn't buy the 1500d for more power, i bought it because it is built more rugged it also matches tho 100.4 cosmeticaly. one more thing the saz1500d is much bigger so if room it tight look at the sae1000 now i've got to say good luck trying to have your front stage keep up
  14. I would guess that your a "cnc" or tool setter by looking at your name oh the power of x y z b I've also thought the same about that center part with the logo on it
  15. I'v had mine since tuesday and haven't even had the time to take it out of the box yet !!!!! but hopefully today. thanks for the amp guts glam shot, thats the first I've seen yet also.
  16. my new 100.4 just got dropped off. nice, i love new toys. got to go now, must make time to play with this thing before it gets too late .

    Is it me or do the cones look different ?
  19. me too, from db-r cant wait
  20. i got mine from mechman. i didn't see it on his website but call him , thats what i did. i think a website called bladeice had the specs
  21. i got a powermaster d3400 from mechman for my explorer <group 65> it is shorter than most other batts and with i-bars it gives you top and side conections <3 total> group 34 and group 78 so i got to leave my stock conections for the truck , hook up my big three 1/0 ring terminals anf my 1/0 runs to the back all with there own connection. clean install and easy I've only had it in the truck for two days and can already tell the difference .
  22. where do you live ? if you post the town and state you live in you might find that someone lives close enough to help you check it before powering it up. I am in enfield ct. if your close i have meters and o-scope as do many on here, and could even help you set your gains safe. it might be worth a try. like already said that is some realy nice gear you have, don't burn it up. good luck either way. and get some earplugs :-}
  23. oh I'm not worried about it taking the abuse playing music music has a very short duty cycle built in already and i'm old in comparison to alot of you so i can only handle so much not that my system doesn't rock but i can't handle that all day. <i gota be able to see staight to drive> but i am an e-tech and just wanted to know the specs on duty cycle. and i'm weird, a day could come that i might want to dump 1500 rms at 30 hz for a day, and have nothing to do with car audio or music. rf = radio freq , like comunications i hoped it was just a filter thing thats why i put the - in jim-j the second time. just noticed the alteration of my post. now for you guys that wang full tilt for an hour or more do your amp even get warm or hot ?
  24. why does it say rick-rolled when i typed jim-j
