i have bl 18s now, and selling them to get 4 ssd 18s. I asked this awhile back and just decided to do it. And i am running 2 sundown 1500d's too

i may go ahead and try it since i been wanting to try something different.

oh yeah, guess it would be nice to tell you what subs, 2 FI BL 18's with 2 1500d's

right now my box is subs up, port back 20 cubes before subs and port with about 200+square inches of port tuned to 33hz, designed by chris at fishercustoms. It picks up lows and pretty loud, only metered before i built this box and was 149 on tl and did 151.7 on audiocontrol meter at local show. Now with this box, it sounds louder to ear, but havent metered yet. Problems now are i have bought 2 boxes of stinger roadkill bulk, did roof, doors and back door. It doesnt rattle bad, the back glass is terrible, but everytime i open back door, metal braces or pieces of the lock and handle are broken and fallin off. LOL. I got guy i work with to tig weld a rip in back door already. Anyway i got design from chris again to wall off behind front seats, I havent decided for sure if im going to do it though. Any opinions on if it would sound better or possibly louder walled? Its 98 expedtion, box now is like this: this is old box when i had it metered: new box is taller and not as long, gives me more room to mount amps. wall design is this: any suggestions or help appreciated, thanks

i dont know much about the cvx series of kickers, but I have 2 buddies running hdc3's and both of them have never had problems. One has 2 12" hdc3's with a hifonics 2610 on them in blazer, subs up, port back tuned to 38hz and it sounds perfect. Then the other guy has 1 hdc3 15" running off hifonics 2610d in dakota sub up and port up, sounds awesome too. I know aq recommends higher tuning, but they still pick up the lows great

I am definitely looking to upgrade sometime, but kinda waiting on the 22" subs, i have been running the same 2 bl 18s for over a year with absolutely no problems and perfectly happy with them. I am definitely stickin with them, and nobody has them around here.

the hats look great and really likin the new longsleeve shirts too, i am making another order today, will be 4th order i have done in couple months.

its 160x4 at 2ohms and 320x2 bridged 4 ohms. I can use it either way. I was just wondering if its more efficient or works better running bridged 4 ohm? Im just running some powerbass 4xl's on it.

i can hook my mids and highs up either 2 ohm stereo or 4 ohm bridged. Is either way more efficient than the other? Right now im just running all 4 channels regular, but next week when my other 6.5's get here i am changing it. thanks

im still undecided really. I think im goin to either do a wall for the 2 bl's or do a 4th order bandpass for them

my voltage doesnt drop any, running 2 d3100s, big 3 upgrade, 2 runs of 1/0, no dimmin, no dropping. I have had this setup for while, just finished redoing it all. I like the 2 18s, just didnt know how much of difference in output it would be if i changed to the 4 ssd's? If i had some extra cash i would just buy 2 more bls and 2 more amps. But, thats not going to happen.LOL

im running 2 bl 18s off 2 saz-1500ds now, subs up, port back. I got guy that wants to buy my subs possibly, so im looking at other options. How would 4 ssd18's take the 2 saz-1500ds? Would they get enough power? thanks

the guy im gettin it from has the 701 hooked to 505 with the ai net cable (believe thats what it is called), he just got it installed at audio x, i believe he said steve cook set it up. I traded him all my stereo a while back, now he wants his back seat back and stereo back close to stock. So we traded back, and he is giving me the deck and processor also. I will take pics saturday, and will email you then if i am selling it. I really dont need something like that, but gettin since it was in the trade.

i just got an alpine iva-w505 and 701 processor on a trade. I will have it saturday. From what i have seen, it will take me several weeks or months to figure it out. LOL. I will post pics of all then and if i get my old kenwood 991 back, i may sell the alpine

i thought the same if i can make panels and seal it off from the back, i think that i am goin to go with the wall option

I never use backseat anyway, but not sure if will make big difference as in louder if i go with a wall. any suggestions? or just go back how it was?

Its not a whole lot of work, so really dont want to wait on the 4500. I have everything except amps and subs, and starting box over next week or so. Truck already has 2 runs of 1/0 gauge, 1 of the D3100 batteries (gotta get other one), stinger roadkill all over. Anyway, decided to go a different route on subs and amps. Should have all in 2 weeks

I sold my bl 18's and both my sundown saz-1500ds and thought I was getting out of audio for a while. But, that didnt last long. I have plenty of room, 98 expedition. I want at least what i had, would like more. I pretty sure leaning to gettin 4 BL 18s this time and walling right behind front seats. i already deadened whole truck, got all wire still in truck. Would 2 Saz-2000d's be enough for 4 18s or 2 audioque 2200d's? I know thats only 1000-1100 watts per sub, but I really dont want to run 4 amps like 4 1500d's. If I could find 1 big amp that would be good for all 4 I will do that. Any suggestions or just go with 1 of the 2 amps above?
