  1. Kent, you're the only person I know except big andy that has spoken of the triple S, or is a SSS, or an S^3, or as you said the three S's
  2. Chevy 5.0L V8 227k on mine, without a rebuild. And there has to be atleast one chevy, and I hate GM. It's been in a crap ton of cars.
  3. I just delt with the single most irate customer... ever. But I stayed polite, so when she's talking to my manager about how much the bookstore blows she'll throw in a "Oh, and Jason was very pleasent". Or atleast that's what she said. then I ask for a raise... and get shot down.
  4. :ahem!: OWNED!
  5. well, I couldn't find out what the voltage really is... cause the way I installed the headunit the last time fixed it, so today after work I'll be soldering/heatshrinking all connections, then I'll wrap the whole harness with e-tape to prevent anything from touching anything. Then I'll see if I can manage to blow that damn fuse, if not I'll know I've done it right.
  6. I agree 100% with Kent, and honestly that's more than you really have to do.
  7. Yeah, I probably should change the batteries. I'll do that and try again.
  8. the extremis have quite a bit more displacment don't they? as in xmax? these daytons have like 4.25mm..... i think with some good eq'ing...these things will really rock..i'm impressed a ton with the daytons..the tweeters sound good too, not overbearing at all, actually quite mellow and they are blended well... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but that not going to stop me from whinig about it.
  9. Well that's good, the extremis had massive noise with those ports.
  10. They look good. Any port noise?
  11. Thing that is confusing me so much is that I didn't change the wiring at all, I just unplugged the harness and moved stuff around, then plugged it back in. I don't even know where to begin really.
  12. Ok, yesterday, I rearranged some things behind my head unit, which was working fine. I put everything back and the HU was working fine. After putting my dash back together I was planning on going to my friends apartment, but when I go to turn on the headlights a fuse blows and my dash lights cut out. I try replacing the fuse and when it blows again I check a few things and say screw it and go inside. CD player still works fine. Today I test things out better. I figured out that when the HU was not wired up the problem does not exist. When I plug the HU back in the fuse blows and such. As a matther of fact the voltage at the battery (all wires still connected) I get 56volts. If I then unplug the HU the voltage stays high for a few minutes then returns to normal. Best as I can tell the only thing that the high voltage hurt was the fuse for my taillights/dashlights, everything else ran as usual. This has me seriously stumped. The HU is a Alpine 9835 BTW. What should I check/try? Bring it.
  13. I'd stick em to the outside of my car if they weren't sheilded...
  14. well, that's just wreckless... Why would you leave your comps setting outside anyway? Or does that add db's? or SQ? Cause I can put my extremi outside...
  15. .... you couldn't have just cleaned it? and why was there a bird in your car or gargae anyway? Sure some jealous bastard didn't just hock one on it? Maybe a little skeet-skeet-skeet even?
  16. I might just take that risk, I have enough good feedback and he has a ton of negs, so I don't think it would keep me up at night....
  17. I'M RICH BEEEEEOTH!
  18. I'm half tempted to buy the sub and take forever to pay...
  19. Who here has spliced above 4 guage? LOL
  20. widgets? Isn't that a Guiness thing?
  21. How many people have called you so far Denim?
  22. hot glue would have been easier... esp with a compressed air can, as I've said before.
