the manufacturer posts recommended enclosure sizes and tuning for a reason, use them Sealed box: .8-1.6 cuft Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 33Hz (per sub) with 1000wrms give or take for both subs i would go as large as possible ported at 33 hz. if you need a box design checkout fisher customs or pound that sound, maybe they can steer you towards the right design for your application. advice aside, if your goal is to be heard from a long ways away i would scrap the subwoofer idea all together, buy some books and educate yourself.

it does not help anyone to post misinformation on this forum i know it's been said a thousand times, but the btl will be louder watt per watt than any other fi subwoofer, there is no minimum power rating.

Hey, I'm in Laguna business as usual? nice area but i'm not one for the glorified tract housing. just because they put the homes behind a gate and charge a million dollars for them doesn't take away the fact that every house, neighborhood, and suburb down there looks and feels the same. Found out I am going to SB tomorrow. In and out though as our schedule is teh busy. will you be eating/snacking in town? if you're looking for anything specific i can try to direct you somewhere acceptable (there's good eats here but nothing like the selection in the sf bay area).

apparently sustained exposure to sound over 85 db can cause permanent hearing damage, 140+ daily is very loud (however this is coming from someone who has fired hundreds various rounds without proper hearing protection)

just find a service shop that does free battery diagnostics (sears auto centers come to mind) and have them run a battery diagnostic on the used battery in question. if you're not buying locally then i guess you buy at your own risk...

no JHP's ryan2? let me know what kind of press you end up getting as i'm interested in pressing my own rounds as well. i've been looking at the lee classic line, looks pretty durable. i just don't know if i want a single stage press or a turret/progressive press and what dies to get. the lee stuff looks like you can quick swap the dies without re-seating them. i wish i could just do it like this though.
