perhaps i should do a new box for my 15?

well nothing is wong with my setup. actually i just got started with it. i'm going to tear it out and deaden, plus my box is a little low on port so i've been told. i think its about 29 in2 for approximately 4cu net, some people would argue that's too little... but i would enjoy building a new box myself as i had someone build the other one for me and there's some serious deals on woofers out there due to our shatty economy. i guess i'm just interested in building a second unit for the car and comparing the two, then i can sell the stuff i don't need or want. plus i can put some much needed $ in the pocket of someone who is trying to float a business and needs it more than i do...

well the surface area of the cone (sd) of say for an example the ssa icons don't vary much: one 15" is 810 cm2 and one twelve is 480, giving you only about 150 cm2 more cone area? i don't know if that would make a significant difference or not. i'm kinda waiting for someone who knows to chime in my logic could be flawed.

on my daily run with the dog there was a team of frog men in a huey out on our coast. they were dropping and extracting guys from the ocean, the helicopter was hovering underneath me along the bluffs i run on, so damn cool.

my cousin got his acer one laptop delivered tonight from amazon. that is by far the coolest and most practical $400 two and a half pound 9" notebook ever, the keyboard is pretty much full size too.

A 33w 16h 18.5d space for an enclosure a 1995 accord coupe a sundown 1500 for power i listen to classic rock and rap. i have approximately a $500 budget for two woofers. spl is my goal, but i do not want a fart box. i want loud low music nothing more. couple of woofers i was thinking about: IA DR 12d1 fi Q d1 ssa icon d1 PAP WMD 12d1 (they're so cheap!) im running a RE sx 15d2 that has been reconed by fi with some cooling and suspension upgrades. i'm open to suggestions on woofers and box designs, what port size, length and orientation especially.

I think you can fit a nice ported box in those sizes me 2! maybe i could get 3.4-3.8 cu? i'm a box making rookie, this will be my 2nd. my big problem with my 15 was the port was made too small. i ended up with 24in port area, my box now is 33w 16h 18.5d with a 2in wide 14in long port...

so i just had an idea, i'm going to be ripping my system out to deaden the car and do some work this winter. my box is a little funky and i need a new enclosure, i was thinking of scrapping my 15" and going to 2 twelves because the space is so small. i have 33w 16h 18d to work with for an enclosure and a saz1500 what do you guys think?

i have a lg vx8700 it is by far the most functional cell PHONE i have ever used. the hinge uses the phone case itself as leverage and wont break, the buttons are easy to use, even with mechanix gloves on. having a stainless steel case gives it a little substance, it doesn't feel like a korean piece of shat even though it is. did i mention you can make phone calls on it? (that's my primary concern with cell phones).

cell phones are so crazy these days.. they keep people so "connected," and i am definitely NOT saying that is a good thing..

the exodus dpl-15 has fs 19 and xmax 22 for under $150. http://www.diycable.com/main/product_info....e08050c314aaef9 that's an xbl^2 woofer too so if low distortion linear excursion is what you're looking for i don't think it gets much cheaper...
