If all in ideal enclosures, it would play louder than a BL or Q with the same power. If you were expecting a problem with doing that, then you need to do so more research. It will NEVER hurt a sub to give it less power unless the operator compensates like an idiot with the stupid knob, err gain knob. Well. i hooked my sub up to a bxi 1608 today and it was just a little bit louder than my friends Q. or did you mean if you put 300 watts to each woofer the btl would be louder? You asked about 300w. No matter the power, even at 1W the BTL will be louder than a Q as long as they are both in reasonably good enclosures. ALWAYS. You need to do some more reading. Much more. For instance I currently only have around 200w at full output going to my sub from a JL 1000/1. I don't need anymore, it works perfect for my setup. How do I achieve this, easy just keep the gain DOWN. Oh i i was confused on the way you worded it. i understand now.

I've had the rear channels of a kx350.4 on the xxx after I sold the sub amp at a competition. Ive 'burped' it with 750w. Daily use with 500w for over a year. Not a single problem so far. Also took 2000w, an almost square wave for >20 burps with no problem. I'm almost the same. I ran a 12" Nightshade on the rear channels of my 100.4 for a week till I got my 3000D hooked up. ok cool. so it would be fine if i hooked up my jvc 300 watt amp untill i get enough money for a big battery?
