In my truck it seemed that a lower box sounded louder to the ear and hit the lows better. I did 6 8's and they sounded just as loud if not louder then 2 15's I have now.....the 8's were definately louder on the lower notes. 8's were in a shorter box, seems like with a taller box it does something weird I have subs forward/port up on driver side...maybe because the port is higher up closer to my head?

We did think ahead, and had over 60 drivers built up and shipped one of our distributors, however, if you order came in after those orders are processed it will have to be built by hand. Please stay tuned, if you don't see a tracking number within two days, that means your sub is being built. Thanks for your business! So if we have not received a tracking number yet our sub is being built? In NO hurry whatsoever, just curious. Thanks! I guess so....I haven't gotten one so I guess it's being built. Gives me time to sell the xcon's

depends on the birch you use...there's low quality and high quality stuff

I like mdf...it's nice and uniform, I actually like how it cuts and using the router on it is nicer then birch. Don't mind the weight since I drive a truck and it's way cheaper...$27/sheet here I wheel my table saw out onto the driveway and use my router out there also so I don't mind the dust

Sad to hear....I love my rli-8's and I don't think I"ll ever sell my small collection of them. Any way to get a bigger picture of their logo? Would like to sport a sticker of it on the truck when I finish up my new 8's build

Last weekend was the Meca California state finals....took first in s3 with 2 15" xcon's on a crescendo 3500d. Score was a 151.3@40hz, down .2 from last show but it was still good enough to take the 1st and the stae record I love these subs...get loud and sound awesome while doing it Thinking about upgrading next season to 2 15" zcon's on a crescendo 5500d Thanks SSA for the awesome subs
