there are already many excel spreadsheets out there some of them are very good. most of them are based on a formula that is about 20 years old. One thing to remember many of these design tools are also based on old drivers which does not have the capabilities of these new gen high power high xmax monsters we get these days. So in many cases the graphs will appear whack and to make things even more complicated there is the aspect of cabin gain loading issue's. Usually the results vary due to amount of decimals the program use or what aspects of box building are included such as baffle displacement bracing woofer displacement end correction etc. If you want to take it back to the old school the formula is on the JL audio site with a lot of other useful information.

My mids have a crack over the cone due to some shop putting the door cards on wrongly. By the time i found it the problem it was too late already. The sound has become worse over time.

which one's and how do you like them? Problem with many PA mids is that you cant cross them low enough. These however should be happy at 100 maybe 120 with a slacker slope

Components should be able to keep up. Any way the selenium's are way too much PA for my liking. Thats why I was thinking PA nature'd driver intended for car use such as the sundown neo's or these eminence's. Guess I will try them the price is low enough that I wont cry if I end up not liking them.

Any one tried the eminence mids? Seems very similar to the sundown offerings and the price seems great. Wonder how they will go with some morel supremo tweets. I have used their pa speakers with great results but idk about car speakers. Any other suggestions welcome. Application loud daily but sq is important. Thx

The peice you are working on looks great, but was wondering were it goes. Thx, yeah was meaning to post it up but am yet to take a pic of it in place;mornings are a mad rush and when i get home its dark out. There is also a big change in plans for now, but it might bring some more entertainment. Hopefully we will reach our final goal still...eventually.

yeah this stuff is good, but I have to admit it will give if you keep pulling on it and it has a bit of stretch but not like fleece. They also have a rubber backed version for a buck or so more which is said to be tougher but harder to do odd bends and curves Where are you located, I saw many US guys buy from a place called Joannes or something like that and it sounds like they get good stuff at a great price from there. I'm located in Singapore and the arsehos at the audio shops wont tell me where they get it and the fabric wholesalers and carpeting companies also don't have it. I think the only other regional option is directly from the Tom Yam (Thailand) car manufacturers. Would you like some Toyota carpet sir?

Because I would like SQ and power, since it is fully loaded I feel that 2000 watts would be a safe amount for the speaker to handle. I think you are wrong. You can use the amp (check) You can not use the full power (check) I suspect at full tilt that amp will not put out clean power (Double fail)

Its fine if u keep the vol and gain under control. Why not buy a smaller better amp that do around 1000-1200 rated
