I know some one who won a contest with a solo x in fla. street stock b I believe. NOt that I would ever run them but they are pretty loud. Once again everything is ALL IN THE INSTALL. a W7 can do really well in the right enclosure. Just like one DD 3512 can be louder than my 2 15's because my current box sux, and his box is better. Even with my HO alt and better amp. It all depends in the install. Granted if they are all in the BEST enclosure for an individuals vehicle, with the optimum wattage per sub...... Is that what the debate is now, I guess I am wonder where we are going with this, I have been watchin this threas since it began, I like it,

I knoe this is pff topic a bit but how long do you test before you decide to go into producion process? I mean you have such high interest in this particular sub, and obviosly it is a beast. I am just curious how all this works. I know it has to prove itself most of all to you first before the consumers. I would probably sell my soul if I hadn't already to get this sub.

little update,well I sent the alt to be repaired and it wasn't broken, I guess the guy who tested it was ignorant, but I will be getting it back soon with a new super small pulley for those extra amps at idle, and vids/pics soon to follow, also I am working up a box design with Fallen from RCBenclosures/ROE, it should be pretty freakin sweet!

yeah but there is a big difference between stupity and ignorance.(well not so big really) stupid can't be fixed, but ignorance can be remedied with the gain of knowledge, thats all Bubba needs. I got two 15.2 Orion HCCA's the older 03 models at 2ohms right now in a 1996 4runner. My HO alt broke and won't be back for about3 weeks so I am layin low on the electrical loads for now. I got stock battery, IDK what it is some german one, but nothing special.

I hate to say it but I think something is worng, I have 1 saz-1500d on stock electrical(atm) with the exception of my big 3 and I have zero volt dops, with gains around 1/4 at full tilt. IDK what your problem could be mebbe alternator or something, but I have no problems whatsoever, 13-14 volts all the time. When playing music at idle the lowest may be 12.6 but thats realli pushin it hard.

hey bigjohn you like your type rs? mebbe upgrade to type x's? JL makes some nice comps, I listen to rap(screw) most of the time and my Orions keep up fine, (I know I coud have done better), what is your spending limit? 150? You like the really high highs? Or a super clean sound?
