They have carpet at walmart that has many uses. One of em luckily is using it for speaker boxes it'll be in the automotive part of the store. Usually by the floor mats.

If you have money for the new alt, Then by all means snatch one up. If not get the battery. I got my extra battery first, was a great buy and helped out ALOT. Especially if your stock alt is pretty beefy.

Well i had a huge port. was pretty good for daily, but would've been better for burps n such. The box was too big, so my port wasn't loading off my roof like it should have been, i had around 5-6 inches from my port to the roof(not good). With this box its gonna load off the roof alot better,ill have over 10+ inches from my port to the roof with this new one. get more pressure in the cab which means moving more air which = louder
