Whats up from TC Sounds?
I'm actually very interested in these, and patiently awaiting their arrival to the market. Not near as "beastly" as the Rl-s (it's simply way more than I'd ever need), and hopefully therefore at a lower price point.

What's Your Opinion of Commission Only Jobs??
Well, I seriously think I might take it, just to see. I'd rather take the job and have it suck horribly and not make any money, than not take it and always wonder if it was exactly what I was looking for in terms of flexibility, pay and job satisfaction.

Processor/EQ
Not sure what you mean? The only PXA series they presently offer is the H701. Unless you mean compared to the older H700? In which case, yes, the H700 would be exactly the same. Only differences are that the controller is included with the H700, and I believe the color for the controller is grean instead of blue.

I would actually like to see a response to Dan Wiggins' call-out on CAF, where he flat out called your BL graph a hoax and a lie. Feandil mysteriously dived out of that thread directly after that. I would post the link, but I get that damned "The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later." message again.

Processor/EQ
Behringer doesn't have a good EQ/Xover combination. You'd have to get a pair of Behringers. And, at the point, I'd rather suggest you go with a db DriveRack PA and convert it to 12V. But, for about the same cost you could just go with an Alpine H701 and C701. Going this route, you could find a sound card with digital output and run digital back to the H701. Zapco also just came out with a new processor. Can't think of the name offhand. Zapco also just came out with their Digital Reference amplifiers...which have a ton of active control built right in. Or, the Kicker SX series amps likewise have a ton of active control built in. Not as much as the new Zapco's, but at a much lower price point.

Type of install for 2 IDW 15's
I told you why on CA.com High efficiency = large enclosure That didn't make sense, I've been doing research... I kinda get it now... :learning: Hoffman's Iron Law. You can only have two of the following three; 1) Small box 2) High efficiency 3) Low frequency extention. Obviously, therefore, a high efficiency sub (such as the IDW) in a small enclosure (like 2cuft) is not going to have any low frequency extension. If you want high efficiency, and low frequency extension, you are therefore going to need a non-small enclosure (or, in other words, a large enclosure). There is no escaping Hoffman's Iron Law. That's why it's a law and not a theory Fact of physics man. Those are going to need a large enclosure.

What's Your Opinion of Commission Only Jobs??
They are under the umbrella of Conseco (you know...who the dome in Indy is named after), and have been around since 1879 Oh...and Dick Van Dyke is their spokesperson. I don't think he'd hop on with just anybody....much less a semi-shady company.

What's Your Opinion of Commission Only Jobs??
Whatcha mean? Yeah, it would be like an independent contractor. So yeah..gas, cell phone, home phone, etc could all be write-offs if I used 'em for work

What's Your Opinion of Commission Only Jobs??
Well, another thing working in this job's favor.....it would be selling life and health insurance to primarily senior citizens (medicare suppliments, long term health care, life insurance, annuities, etc). And now take into account that the Baby Boomers are now hitting the senior citizen ages...the market is pretty open as far as client base goes, and will stay that way for atleast the next 10-15years since a HUGE mass of people will all be/are hitting their senior citizen ages. Here's a link; http://www.bankerslife.com/Web/AgentCareer...sPotential.aspx Spanks for the opinions so far!

What's Your Opinion of Commission Only Jobs??
Well, I'm thinking about taking a new job as a sales agent for a fairly large insurance company. Pay would be completely commission based...something I've never done before in my life. I sort of like the idea...my income is only limited by my own potential. But, likewise, is open to volatility and not a necessarily "steady" paycheck, and pay will certainly be low/slow to start with. Though, the pay will also include uncapped quarterly bonus's for certain sales levels/etc. So, just curious....what's ya'll opinion on something like this? Experience? Know someone working a commission based career? I'd love to hear your thoughts/opinions/experiences.

loud button bad???
Well, I only read through part of the thread, so if this is simply a restatement...forgive me. Distortion, clipping and underpowering will not damage a speaker by itself. I can send a fully clipped 100w signal (200w power) to a true 500w subwoofer and not do a lick of damage to it. It is not the act of clipping, the act of distortion or the act of underpowering that damages a speaker. It is, plain and simply, power. As we all know, a clipped signal contains 2x more power than an unclipped signal. Now, that 100w amplifier of yours may damage a 150w speaker at full clipping. But, the damage was not caused by the clipping, it was caused by the excess power caused by the clipping, and that power exceeding the thermal or mechanical limitations of the speaker. The only two ways to damage a speaker are by exceeding it's thermal limits or exceeding it's mechanical limits. If the power of the signal does not do those two things, it plain and simply will not damage the speaker. Now, you could say that we are simply into a debate of semantics. But I wholeheartedly disagree. As I mentioned before, send a fully clipped signal to a speaker that can mechanically and thermally handle the power, and no damage will be done. Because power is the damaging factor, not the signal. And that is the important thing to emphasize in these debates.

I've never ever ever used the chat room. I think I logged into it once....and I was the only one there so I left- Why not make a LMT 18?
They would still have to stock all of the parts, and have any parts that aren't off the shelf custom tooled. And that would cost $$.- Welcome to the IHoP
Haha...I did. But I deleted it. It wasn't nice - Welcome to the IHoP
