Well, for those of you who remember about my best friend with the unhealthy unborn son........the doctor admitted his g/f into the hospital today to start inducing labor. I spent the afternoon and evening down there. A few supositories and thus far nothing.....about this time the doc should be manually popping her water. So, in a few hours (could be up to 10hrs or more....who knows), there should be some action. We'll see how it goes. I just hope I'm able to be there when it all goes down.

THE worst part IMO. Not to mention the SS spray gun is a POS! That was about worthless. I spend 2 hours masking and aoolying plastic. What a waste. One-half-hour with the paint bursh was cake. Spectrum sticks to Damplifier very well. My interior resonance at 2500RPMs is now GONE! Haha....funny, I spent today stripping my interior and laying some damplifier. Tommorrow holds more damplifier, masking/taping and spraying on some Spectrum myself. We'll see if my luck's any better If you get bored, you should drive down my way and we can have ourselves a little deadening party 4 hands are better than 2...and we may even be able to get audiolife involved PS: FWIW to anyone who cares, I like my Raammat better than Damplifier. Damplifier is a little easier to work with, but the aluminum on Damplifier tears a hell of a lot easier than Raammat........Raammat you have to cut to get the aluminum to tear. The Damplifier will tear just pushing it into crevases(sp?....it's late, I don't care).

Yes, but it doesn't say at what voltage the current consumption was measured at, what the output power was ("Continuous Output" or "Typical Continuous Output"), and it only lists current consumption @ 4ohm, whereas I'm more worried about efficiency at 2ohm and 1ohm. Vary a few things, and you come up with anywhere from >90% to <70% @ 4ohm.

Arc: Not enough power Eclipse: Had an Eclipse amp. Really liked it. But I want to try something different US Amps: Old amps were inefficient as hell. Guess it depends on if the new amps changed that or not.

Don't think that 5.25's can't have midbass. I've heard some 5.25's that have more midbass than most people's 6.5's. It's all in the setup, installation and tuning. What's your budget? Rainbow's a good option. As is Boston Acoustics, Image Dynamics, DLS, AVI, etc. Also, Memphis Sync's. Heard the Sync's in audiolife's truck.....midbass on those things is pretty crazy.

I've been considering getting a new sub amp, mainly looking to switch to class D for the increased efficiency. I'm currently running a Rubicon 702 on my sub and a 100w amp on my highs, and my lights dim at night when driven hard. My final system will consist of about double that much power, so I'm looking to switch my sub amp to something more efficient since I don't want to do any electrical upgrades other than upgrade the battery. I'm looking for something that'll do ~700-800w into 4ohm, 1200w+ into 2ohm, and being 1ohm stable would be nice just to keep my sub options open in the future. Had my eye on a RF T10001bd since I've seen some pretty insanely high efficiency ratings on the birthsheets (recall seeing some around 85%). Also considering things like the Diamond D5 1200.1, Kicker KX1200.1, and some Memphis products But, I'm also very interested in the new Zed's. I could strap a pair of Miniliths for my 800w @ 4ohm, and have 1200+ @ 2ohm. Any thoughts? Advice? Experience? Ideas? Efficiency is the main priority. I'll sacrifice a little power for some increased efficiency.

Well, since there is a forum here now, I guess I'll be the first to post an actual question What's the efficieny like on the Miniliths? At both 2ohm and 1ohm?
