could you use 6 volt batteries in car audio? I know if you wire two in series it would make 12 volts, but then how can you get it to co exist with your 12 volt startying battery? 6 volt batteries have alot better reserve capacity

I'm most likely going to be running a sax100.2. and i'm going to go with passive. I'm looking for something to keep up with a BL 15 with 1500 w rms @ 32 hz. I was thinking 6.5" I listen to a variety of music and like to hear the lyrics. I want something with descent low end and preety good high end. I'm not lookng for SQ but do want it to sound good and blended

Ok i'm going to be building a box for a Bl 15 4.0^3ft @32hz. And I was wondering where would be the best place to mount the speaker in the box. Its going to be a slot ported box. Should i have it closer to the edge of the port or the other end of the enclosure? What about the top? I hope this isnt to confusing. I just want to know if there is an optimal position for the sub on the box.

Is the displacement of the bl 15 different when its fully loaded(cooling,flatwind,dual 2,daily)? Most likely so. I'm using bass box pro to design a box but it only has the specs for the base bl(.18^3ft.) I know I want my box to be 4.0^3ft @ 32hz but I need to know the displacemnet to get it exact or as close to exact as possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I know soundstream use to make some alright products years ago, but what about now? Are they any good. I'm looking for components. I seen a pair of Soundstream PCC.6 N for pretty cheap. I am designing a slot ported box for a bl15 fully loaded. I am looking for 4.18ft^3(4.0 after speaker displacement) @ 32hz. I just need to make sure I got my measurements right. The dimensions(external) are (H)19.5 x (W)45 x (D)14.5. The port is (H)18 x (W)4 x (L)38. Am I right? And is 72in of port area to much? Oh yeah 3/4 mdf is the wood I'll be using.
