  1. Nice! That Z looks very impressive and makes the SS SPLX look small! Sundown ftw! I like his port flare jig!
  2. Wow great opportunity!
  3. Ya I chose the wall location judging by the side door and a roof support...are you saying it's further back then I maybe should have done it? It's my first wall. The speakers up top are freakin AWESOME. I caught a lot of shit from a few SQ buddies of mine, but I think I can safely say I proved them wrong. It's not like a PA system in a grocierie store, in fact I think it sounds better up there...sounds like it's coming from strait ahead. There is a bit of flex, but for the output... it's well damped. Once I get it finished I may get into competing and replace the IB3's with 06' XXX 18's... if I tour, I could make it a point to detour for demos! Take the idea and run with it! It works great. I never understood the competative hush-hush secrecy if tips and tricks. IMHO, we should all share and help eachother out, not keep our ideas secret to win. where u at in this god forsaken state? I'd like to see your setup as well! I'm in Watertown! Straight north on I-29! I'll make my way up there one of these days.. you got a shop? You an RE/USAmps dealer or have one there? I think that's in Brookings tho... No shop but I am friends with the guys at the two local shops. I rep Sundown Audio. Watertown has RF/Alpine at Team Electronics and Synergy Audio has Sundown/DD/Memphis/Focal
  4. That ish is just plain impressive with a 600 watt rms stock subwoofer! Sundown Audio FTMFW!
  5. where u at in this god forsaken state? I'd like to see your setup as well! I'm in Watertown! Straight north on I-29!
  6. 1 with a variable SSF!
  7. A full recone is needed for that beast! Either fixmyspeaker.com or Pierce Audio Products should be able to recone that for you.
  8. Sounds like spam for the listed site above!
  9. AudioQue is an American company with amplifiers made in Korea and Subs in China! IA and Sundown for great amplifiers and CS. AQ and Crecsendo are ok. Go with what fits your budget! I run and own IA and Sundown products so i'm very partial!
  10. Mmmmmm Wardens! Subs look great, especially with the little one!
  11. Then I would say the Sundown would be the way to go! But I am partial to Sundown ....
  12. Very nice selection of gear to get started! Keep up with the pics!
  13. Gotta look through my box to see what all came with it. Best to contact IA for box requirements if you're not sure!
  14. Opeth - Death Whispered A Lullaby is a great song for imaging, staging and male vox! Ghost Reveries is a great sounding CD well produced, engineered and mixed!
  15. C to D the Crossover section was improved and iirmc the heatsink was changed to the new casing.
  16. Nice! How do those Crescendos look in person? This is going to be very loud! Looking forward to more!
  17. The Sundown SAX-100.4D is a great amplifier for the money with a 2 way electronic crossover network along with line outs. 12 or 24db per octave selectable slopes, variable frequency adjustment, x10 switch to multiply the frequency higher to run tweeters. Sundown Audio - SAX-100.4D A little out of your price range.
  18. Bandpass can actually be accomplished with a 2 channel with variable low pass and a SSF. But that also depends on whether you are running a 3 way active front stage. But a 4 channel can be used for a 2 way active system.
  19. What are your goals? SPL competition? Or an absurdly loud system for driving around in?
  20. Brad or Sean better handle this one! They are way better explaining the technical side of these subjects.
  21. Nice vids man! I gotta make it down to check that monster out!
  22. Make sure you have the electrical!
  23. Does each subwoofer dramatically change from the next when they build them? Would SSA's woofers change then from every one built? I am going to follow their box recommendations, it would just be nice to have specs for future reference thats all. I guess I'm just gonna have to buy a WT3 That's a good question for the IA guys to answer!
  24. I didn't account for the port in the box! I added that last and was way off! Thx for the clarification!
